HID H7 Kits for Fabia with Projector Headlights

Featured Replies

Yeah yours are fine. Its the same bulb in yours, you just have a shutter that moves via a solonoid to activate high beam. The same bulb is always in use, its not stop/starting the high beam like the silver pack lights do.

The silver lights have a projector low beam and a separate reflector for high beam. We have 4 bulbs in total.

  • This should help clear up a few confusions about "how hard it looks" or "where does this wire go".   My kit arrived a moment ago, and in this pic I've laid it all out nice and neat. You have the 2x

  • It's not the ballast that is the problem, like I said they were both sides secure on the slam panel already at this stage. It's the bulb. For some reason I just can't get these new holders to twist in

  • These are the pictures you REALLY want to see!   Can you tell which one is the Monte?          And my personal favourite...     I do have a couple of snaps of dipped & main beam

This one is not the normal forum...;) it's more than just forum. I hope this thread is going to help others as much as it helps me...:)

Took me abit to settle, the other bike forum im on is extremely helpful and a bundle of laughs, this ones more on the serious side haha.

Its good though :). We all have our specialist areas, iv always tried to get the best lights possible, no matter what the vehicle :).

What do people consider is the better option 4300k or 5000k, is there much difference in light colour and visibility in the dark.

I had standard fit 4300 in my focus and they were brilliant. A little bit yellow when looking at the headlights though. Havent driven with mine at night yet. But 5000k are sooo white its unreal..

just orderd a kit

I'm still thorn between 5000k and 6000k and not sure which one to go for...

Thanks mat. think I will get 5000k next month.

Google images will show you a chart with all the different colours so you can compare them :).

4300k looks abit yellow still. 5000k has a more white n ever so slightly blue tinge

6000k...yeah...6000k is my choice...:)

From those charts it really seems a hard choice between 5000k and 6000k. Hmmmm.

It'll be good to see the real outcome of your 6000k kit in comparison :) I reckon there'll hardly be much difference!

From the picture and personal experience the 6000k and 5000k look very similar from behind the wheel, reflection on signage seems to be greater from the 6000k but it's not blinding. I may try 5000k when a bulb goes just to see as I reckon the light on the road is similar if not the same, just has that very slight blue tinge from the 6000k to oncoming traffic and signage.

Hey gang. Just got home.

Bulbs are class. Much better drive at night!

Quick one though. Is it the ballast or the bulb which determines the wattage?? I feel like I could have benifited from a 55w kit over the 35w kit.

If its just bulbs ill buy some 55w bulbs! :)

It was mental foggy btw.

Defo the bulbs but I think even the ballasts are type rated... 35 or 55 respectively.

Have another run in the dark when it isn't foggy? (Asking a lot for Aberdeen ;) )

Haha its been really bad recently. Thickest fog ive ever seen. Yeah I looked online and its got to be a complete kit not just bulbs :(

Ill be out again tomorrow im sure it was just the fact it was very thick fog.

Its both i think. I want 55w really, but im concerned about the heat spots inside the plastic lens, so i think its safer with 35w

35w is enough really. A lot better than halogen.

Cheers for uploading the pic Jonro. Id of done it if it would let me haha. Need to get it fixed, but i dont know how :/.

I had them on my phone from when I was deciding what I wanted

Agree with the potential heat spots

I think the lights will be even better out of the fog Matt, yellow lights fair better in the fog. You should 'see' a good difference in the plain dark.

just ordered a pair of bulb holders, that way, i can keep the originals on the bulbs in the boot, so if i ever have a problem i can lob those back in.

Hi, ryno, where have you got the holders from, let us know if they fit ok.

ordered from eBay. they are on the first page of this thread
