Am I the only one who read this? so getting ready for some serious performance mods Richard?

It was only £200 or so more for the performance version.

Seemed a no brainer.

Can't believe how good the ride is on 18" rims with 35 section tyres.

Way better than my rapid was on the same combo, really does feel like it's got 17" rims on when you drive it.

I have plenty of toys but none as insane as this though, but wait for the wrap :p

Does Air Ride = self levelling?

As in keeping the tyres in one piece &/or maintaining a constant ride height loaded or empty?

Yes.

E level works on sensors so maintains the same ride height loaded or unloaded.

Odd question, I know the Roomster has sod all towing allowance but could it tow with air?

The car is rated to tow a certain weight from new.

I don't believe altering the suspension removes that right.

So yes, fine.

Being a 1.2tsi the towing limit will be too low for me to use anyway.

You have a spare car or 3 for Towing ;)

Yes.

Thanks.

it might be a good retro-fit to an estate car, (our probable next car) if it doesn't half built-in self leveling.

It's about £3,750 with fitting if you tick all the options.

Scene tax. :D

I am sure you could get a self leveling rear set up far cheaper.

So anyway, I used the Roomster on Saturday to pick the Wife and two children up from Heathrow.

They have not seen the car before...

On the way back to the car park my 5 year old son asks what car I brought.

I asked him to guess and he went through the list... all negative.

So I said to them to try and guess when we got to the car park and saw the cars lined up there.

As we walked round the corner and the rows of cars came into view my Wife said "Oh my God".

She got it spot on.  How did she know.

My son loved it.

And the wife??

And the wife??

You mean ex wife?

Well, she did say "People keep looking at us" when we were driving home.

But I don't really care. :D

  Fortunately I think I am lucky to have a wife that just lets me get on with it and doesn't pass judgement or ask about the cost.

Yet! wait until she wants something :D Take That concert or BGT!

I can go with that.

Considering I'm leaving them to look after the fleet while off on a GT-R tour of Europe. :D

You'll come back and they'll all have been sold.......

I'd say so, and for the rest of us there's the fact that you're not an @$$hat about how much income you have (meant as a compliment).

I have only one issue with this build thread, my nice new Triumph Trophy fund is taking a big hit, I've just been researching airbags and I so want some :x  the wife hasn't noticed the fins on the rear spoiler, Airbags though???

Sell it on the basis of ride comfort. :D

Corrected for you

Sell it on the basis of ride comfort. :D

That might just get through, she hates the ride at the minute and refuses to drive my car :notme:  (job done)
