Nice one of the best I've seen as the edge is protected, most don't..

Looks great, wish they did one for the VRS hatch.

Bought one of the plain black versions, needed a little trimming around the centre but now fits great & also looks like it belongs.

They do one for the hatch, speak to them it might fit your VRs or it might be a new model they are working on.

Yes, I did speak to them, and they did say one wasn't available yet, so hopefully it will be soon.

So the standard hatch version will not fit the vrs model? What exactly is the issue in terms of fit?

Great stuff, quality accessory, looks very OEM.

I don't know actually. I have wondered what the differences, if any, are between the VRS hatch bumper and a non VRS hatch. We need to post some pics up, to investigate, perhaps.

I am suspecting the depth might be less in the non VRS but I do not think that will matter. Not ideal but not a real issue. I will have one in about 3 weeks so I will post on my conclusions. Hope it does fit.

These were a great help Keith and helped us decide on the RGM carbon look protector

Well, my bumper protector was well and truly tested today! While a server was being loaded in to the boot it was dropped, the bumper took a severe whack from a corner, If no protector was fitted there would have been a large gouge in the bumper through the paint and deep into the plastic. Phew !

Bouncing a server off the bumper has got to be up there in the list of things that would keep me up at night, and I've not even got the car yet!

Will be picking up one of these for my VRS in the coming days I suspect, as I too will be loading and unloading bountiful amounts of server kit for the foreseeable.

Thanks for the video Keith, looks awesome fitted.

Does anyone know if the standard hatch version fits the VRS hatch?

Supposedly not. There are quite a few owners waiting for the vRS version. Might be worth phoning them to ask..the more that do the more likely they are to produce one.

Have just e-mailed asking about this will post up any positive feedback.

Ok so confirmation from RGM on this.

For the MK3 VRS Estate (June 2013 onward) model RBP 721 is compatible.

Regarding the MK3 VRS Hatch:

Sadly at the moment we do not make a Rearguard for the later model of Octavia VRS hatchback – (only the older version suitable for cars built between January 2009 and May 2013.)
I suspect that its on our “to do” list but I don’t know when it will be in production.

That is the same reply I got from them, word for word.

Seems a shame to be honest, hopefully they will get production sorted out as I'm sure there's a lot of members on here who would be interested.

When they say it does not fit I would be curious to know in what respect. If it is depth only, which i suspect, technically it may not be a perfect fit but would still be able to be installed.

It would be good to know that, for sure. I do like their design, with that lip. It would be perfect, if it only fitted the VRS hatch.

I reckon they are definitely missing out on potential sales here.

I fitted the version for the vRS before 2009 to my 2012 vRS hatch and it fitted perfectly.  By far the best rear guard I have seen.  Not only does it have the lip but also fits up the sides of the hatch to the level of the rear lights.  If owners of the latest model vRS hatch are lucky Rearguards may produce the same design for their cars.

Put those halford bumper protestors on one of my cars from the 90's. Occasionally in the sun they would lift off. don't think they would suit todays cars unless a base model that Auntie went to the shops in.
