I like it.Great interior.

Think 18" are one of the options with 17" as standard.

if you go to skoda-auto web page you can now take a panoramic 360 degree look at the inside....sorry to say but the outside looks like a nissan primira and the inside looks like a car my grandad would drive.....nice plastic steering wheel though!!!

Looks Awful!

I'm sorry but there is nothing on the new RS that I like.

It's boring as hell. :thumbdwn:

Totally agree with the above :thumbdwn:

Oh and it's a rip off.

Options (not standard)

Dual Climate

Rear Lecky Windows

18's.....etc.

Have Skoda UK actually released an official spec for it yet though? Do we know climate won't be standard? As was posted earlier, the yellow vRS on show wasn't a UK car. But it did have 18" wheels on it...

Steve

i kinda like it. it dosent look fierce (can't spell)-it just looks like a normla car. so people won't want to race.

Theres a Octy VRS at my mates work (they design car ECU diagnostics)

i'll try to sneak us some piccies

Why didnt they make it like this?, this concept looks sooo much better than the real thing.

Show me a concept car that doesn't!

I must say, like it in yellow!

There are a few disappointing things, but as a whole, I like it!

18" wheels eh? Was rumoured to have 17's which I thought was a little odd.

That will mean we'll have 16's as standard, bloody VRT

Nope..17"s with 18"s as an option. Taken from Skoda-auto.com. No mention of 16"s on it - even the combi will have 17"s.

ah, it may be a little dull on the outside to most... but it's how it drives that counts. from initial reports it drives pretty well...

There's a review in the Independent's motoring section today - good write up. As far as looks go - nothing in the range looks particularly good IMHO - that's the attraction, a bit of stealth. :)

I'll believe it when I see it ;)

Is it tomorrow your getting feedback from Frankfurt ? Be sure to let me know what they think.

All of this is speculation and hearsay. Personally I am awaiting my dealer to invite me to drive his fully specced estate with dsg, that he may have ordered as his demonstrator. Only then will I make up my mind. Pictures of new models often dont do them any justice. There is an Octy 2 sport in red at the dealers at the mo, and I quite like the look of it. Cant wait to see the VRS in the flesh in a decent colour. Race blue for me......maybe.

I have to agree with the remarks about the rear bumper reflectors though. :thumbdwn:

Well I was also in the service park and it grabbed me.

(Hi Stu - good job on Thursday mate - hope the rest of the event went well for you, as well as it could have had after Sundays events)

The car does look better in the flesh - I still hate the rear reflectors with a passion but it looks slightly aggressive and the wheels really suit it. Think yellow is too bright a colour for me - I prefer them a little more understated so maybe race blue or black again but its made me want to swap my Mk1 vRS for the Mk2!

Paul..

Sorry it looks a little too jelly mould/blobby for me.

I was really looking forward to the launch of the Mk II vRS Octavia but i'm sorry to say that at the rumored cost and the poor standard spec I am moving towards altenatives. Insurance is expensive on the Octy vRS, running costs will proberly not be cheap either. This will not be a good car for every day use. I'm thinking of selling my Mk 1 vRS, buying a duel fuel run around for everyday and a Westfield for fun at the weekends.

Any way I agree with most of the posts so far not impressed if we believe most of the rumors!

no one knows the uk spec yet... except skoda uk

and lets be honest, its not really placed any worse than it was before in terms of cost considering the pricing of the models around it.

yes you can get a fiesta St, if you want one, but its not as big. you could get a golf GTI for several
