I would agree with all of that.

Custom-Code haven't had any complaints made to them. If you have any information could you pass it onto them so they can look into it.

i like the fact that with revo i can totally imobilise the car,when parked up(yes i do use it).if you are going to be tuning further then revo stage 2 is only 50 quid extra.

if i was doing it again,i'd get the intake/exhaust and cooling sorted first ,then go for revo stage 2.

but this wasn't out when i got mine revo'd.

i run 4 bar revo

Absolutely stone-cold! If you are thinking of paying £3-4-500+ for a remap I would seriously consider a broader range of companies than the closest two to you! Have a look at:

Upsolute

Revo

Jabbasport

Custom-Code (CC)

Impossible Performance (IP)

The most popular on here I would think are Jabbasport and Revo with Upsolute probably coming last on the list. The other 2 offerings are relatively new.

Almost everyone on here is happy with their maps and will defend their favourite tuners till the cows come home! My beasty runs an IP custom remap which i'm very happy with.

Probably a good thing to do is to go to a local Briskoda meet or rolling road day and talk to people about how their car drives...

, i remember asking questions before and p*ssing some people off 'cause they spent lots and ended up with 'Half a Pint' .

Funny how everyone wants to defend their own tuner/map ,mines bigger than yours type bullsh*t, maybe someone could organise a sprint type event so we can see who does/has what and dispell some of the myths, mind you everybody would have to declare their mods ..................................... more chance of growing a third testicle.

Reading between the lines and with some inside info it seems to be suggested that IP's custom maps and C-C are some how related and use Frieling Racing remap tools. Is this true?

Why would someone pretend to be Guy? It wouldn't take much for admin to check the IP address from which the account was set-up.

It then comes down to customer services and back-up....right?

Thats very true, maybe it was a poor example I made.

But after having numerous maps - APR, Revo 3 and 4bar I can honestly say that CC Phase 1 (Generic) knocked the spots off all previous maps, even the excellent Revo 4bar.

Upsolute IMHO is way down the pecking order to be a viable option for people wanting to extract the best from the engine.
