Can anyone tell me is the spare kit sold by dealer a full size wheel and tyre or a spacesaver skinny thing? Also anyone bought the full size elsewhere and does it fit in the boot foorspace ok? Thanks.

I've only really ever seen mine when the dealer proved it was there in my car, but I'm pretty sure it's just a space-saver.

I imagine it'd probably fit if you bought another wheel of your type for your boot floorspace, Horton Skoda's TheSkodaShop sell most of the Citigo's wheels, but they are like 130 quid for a wheel (without tyre). Best bet would be to buy a steelie or just stick with the spacesaver, if you ask me. :)

I bought a full size 14" steel spare, tyre and tool kit for mine, which I will probably be selling soon. Yes it fits in the boot under the floor once you remove the polystyrene lump with the tyre fixing kit ;)

It is a full size 14" wheel they provide, but I think the width is the next size down from Standard fitted alloy size wheel.

There's a list of all the part numbers in the stickies section above [emoji6]

Thanks, I seen somewhere I can get wheel and tyre under £60. Feel happier running about with this instead of magic repair spray.

Don't blame you. I had a puncture the first week I had the car and no spare. I ordered the wheel and toolkit straight away afterwards [emoji106]

It's a pathetic idea having no spare wheel leaving motorists stranded [emoji57]

To be honest, part of me thinks that spare wheels should come as standard for cars. A bit like airbags, they're a real necessity.

It's an S,SE wheel 14x5J with 165/70 tyre

They always used to!!

It's a weight thing that also helps (in a very, very small way) with the 'official' fuel consumption figures. And it does, of course, generate a bit of extra cash when everyone ticks it on the options list because it is, after all, a bloody essential! I've had a blow out in the outside lane of the M1 at (ahem!) 70 mph and trust me, no amount of tyre weld was gonna fix that ***ker!

The lack of the spare wheel is to keep the weight down and the emissions lower. They all do it now. My panda had no spare wheel either. The compressor wad useful for the bicycle tyres but I wouldn't have liked to have used the magic foam. Luckily my car had the spare wheel option when my dealer tagged it from the factory add our had already been built.

The standard steel wheel is 5J

My last two punctures where at sidewall. Repair kit wouldn't fix it. Luckily I had spare wheel.

Then again, my girlfriend wouldn't change the spare wheel, but I guess she could use repair kit. Still we ordered our new Citigo with spare wheel. Existing Citigo has one aswell. If I happen to be too far when she needs my help to change the wheel, she calls towing company.

www.mytyres.co.uk give an excellent service and at a reasonable price. I bought my winter tyres from them complete with wheels.

I hope someone could help me with this: If I order a Citigo without spare wheel kit, is there proper fixing point for spare wheel at the bottom of boot floor? Hole for the bolt so to say? Original spare wheel is fixed with a big plastic nut, thru wheel's center hole. I could swap my existing spare wheel from my older Citigo to newer one when it arrives.

Let's blame translator if I couldn't express my self clearly enough. :S

I would have thought so.

Yes

Oh how I wished I'd gone for the spare wheel option, i got an unrepairable puncture the other day, £55 for a mid range tyre, but i had no option but to go to the nearest tyre shop.  On the plus side I've never had a car with tyre pressure sensors before, and i'm very impressed.

Show off :D

Are they not standard across the range?

These are monitoring with ABS-sensors. There is no tyre pressure sensors actually.

Well I got a beep, and a picture of a flat on my dash.

For sure. When tyre is flat, its diameter changes and Abs-sensors will notice it. System knows nothing about real pressures.

That makes sense to be honest, I would have liked it to warn me earlier if i'm honest.
