  • Unlikely, I'm quite slow apparently. I just do well because I have a flash car.

Naughty Jabo! :D

Jason,

I've just checked HowFast? lap times table and it looks like I am the second fastest Skoda at Bedford, right behind you :D

I wonder how many seconds will I be able to shave off with the RARB fitted ?

Looks like I have 1:29.9 to beat.  I have a feeling after this event there'll be a rather nippy Yeti at the #1 spot though :D

Just noticed they have me down as PETROL and a VRS - It's NEITHER! :D

'Right behind' as in almost 5 seconds

Did they never put the times up from last year then?

1.28.4 to beat for you by the looks of it Jason. :D

Not set by a VRS either. ;)

Aha!  I had assumed the times on their website included the last session done.  I couldn't remember my time.  If it's dry I am aiming for a 1.27 this year :D  I "should" be a little quicker as on more powerful nozzles and better mapping.  But utimately it comes down to driver. where to brake and how the tyres work.  I'll probably bring my Federals as I can drive there, do the track stuff, and keep driving on them.

Not always that simple as you know. :)

A bit less speed can mean smoother progress, hence more pace.

Hence my Fiesta ST smashed all the mk2 Fabia VRSs by several seconds with just it's Mountune upgrade on OEM tyres, brakes etc...

Doubt it's anything like that much faster in a straight line.

I really should have another go at this.

I've got the DS2500s and RSRs now, instead of ruined OEM pads and concrete eco tyres.

I really should have another go at this.

I agree. :)

RSRs will give you a good 3 or 4 second quicker lap, other things remaining constant.

My Kumhos give slightly better grip but not sure if I can be bothered to lug them up to Bedford and have hassle of changing them.
