The vRS's are looking awesome there Karl - top job mate.

Similar story here - cant recommend AP Intensify and Evolve enough really.

The ease of use is astounding for one thing - then the gloss that results after buffing - just WOW!!! :sun: [emoji106]

Slowly but surely running out of the tin pot so will have to order some more with out doubt!

  • Well as promised a review into the wax, goes on very easy but uses quite a bit, and the tub showed cracks like dying  out even though 4 degrees air temp, panel temp was 3.2 . Really easy to buff off,

  • On their Facebook page bud. Just send him a pm on there. Same cost as a few bottles of ale, and I've been dry for January so i deserve a treat!

Trialed the new 'Flawless Polish & Cleanser' yesterday from AP.

A great product for pre wax cleansing. The polish side of things I spoke to Arron about & this product has next to no cut. Not on VW paint anyhow. Maybe on the softer Japanese paints it's possible.

The cleansing side how ever is great. Could easily see previous waxes etc loading on to the pad when lifted off the surface.

The smoothness of the paint it leaves behind is very impressive. So much so that when i went to lay the wax on top when finished the applicator slipped out of my hand and treated the paint like an ice rink... new pad needed of course!

Great Prewax cleanser, especially via DA. No residue, no hard buffing required. No dust.

Cheers.

Karl

As part of this weekends product test batch that Karl and i had been provided....

the Auto Perfection Pro Drying towel was next up....... 1200gsm ultra plush thick towel and about 60 x 70cm size.

Easily lapped up the water on the vRS and capacity left to do the .:R36 as well.

By the end of the day the towel weighed a tonne - given the amount of water it slurped up!!!

Very impressed with this one i must admit..... i will monitor how it washes and if it stays this absorbent.

Hey everyone. Really busy of late, but had chance to have a play with Clarity QD. Although it gives stunning gloss, it doesn't have any real water behaviour. So I took 100ml of Clarity QD and popped 1ml of EZ Car Care Project X in. Shook it up and applied it to the Superb. Went on well, didn't streak at all. I'll keep you posted on water behaviour, but the gloss was still excellent!

Looks cracking Neil as said on Facebook!

I like the fact that you've had a play with 2 different products! Rather interested on how it turns out! Keep us posted!

Clarity is one of my favourite QD'S for the ultimate gloss and finish!

Will do buddy.

Totally agree, Clarity is my favourite on looks. Maybe the addition of Project X will make it the perfect product?!

It's possible mate! I did it with Mist-X. Another cracking QD with added Purity from Ste and it was fantastic!

So, the Clarity with a similar product added should be the perfect combo mate!

Looking good Neil and following with interest mate. :)

There is plenty of rain back in the East today, so should see some water behaviour on the way back from a very sunny Manchester!!

Evolve is a great all rounder for sure. A mate helped me replace by brake discs and pads on my focus, so I repayed the favour!

Lovely job! Is that a Prelude? Haven't seen one of those for years!

It is mate. Its a SIR import. Very rare apparently. The paint is crazy soft and thin! The stone chips hardly have edges!!

I used to know a chap that had a UK spec 2.4 if I remember rightly. Was a right machine & a lovely Car.

Never seen the SIR import on pictures never mind on the road!

Standard Japanese paint by the sounds of it! Done a good job there mate. Must be quite a challenge working with deadly thin paint!

Thanks mate.

It's a 2.2 200bhp engine.

It was pretty tricky. Had to slow the rotary right down otherwise it became quite tacky, and that's with a finishing polish! Haha. Challenging. I wouldn't dare have gone more abrasive!!

Nice! Fair play tackling that! Bet he was well pleased. Never worked on Japanese paint.. Although I saw a nice Subaru Impreza the other day I'd quite like to own, the paint on the other hand, been thin and a pain in the ass is a different story lol!

Just wanted to add an update on the Auto Perfection thread; as their products continue to impress me.

Weekend before last - i offered to help a neighbour protect his new car purchase.

Car washed easily enough and fully decontaminated; but when it came to LSP and wax

the panel temperature was very hot and getting to a point i thought it could be unworkable.

So best wax i knew of in my collection to cope, was AP Intensify... and it didnt disappoint.

A nice thin layer on hot panels in direct sunlight and it buffed off with ease!

Highly recommended!!!

Had a bit of a clear out in the garage last night.... and sorted out some detailing stuff.

I passed on a load of samples and stuff i dont use and wanted to simplify the product line ups on my shelves.

So now have my AP collection ready to use on a detail sometime soon.

Cherry Devine Shampoo

Clarity QD

Flawless Paint Cleanser

Trio AIO

Elavate Interior Cleaner

Dashing Interior dressing

Plus

Intensify and Evolve waxes - my favourite!

Will be trying Trio for the first time this week at some point and my last application of a summer wax so will top with dark temptation wax I think!

Will let you know how I get on with it but the reviews have been nothing short of brilliant from Arron again. How he keeps doing it I don't know!
