  • And I've gone right off the RS3 idea. £40k plus for a car that#'s slower than my Yeti and has an automatic box...

  • I'd have one in a heartbeat if I had the money

  • Be it 'chav' or not. This and it's 400 ponies bring a smile to my face. The more I've seen of the mk3 the more I've come around to it. Purely for its driving characteristics. My local ford don't

Is it advisable for RS owners ,who track and use their cars beyond the 5 seater daily commute and weekend family domestic use, to take out shares in Michelin, and get a dividend return, as an offset ? Lol

See Fezza's es latest investment.lol So that's 9500 miles approx. out of the first pair then.

Runs the RS with mixed tyres, FRONT and BACK in the wet. WTF!

With interesting results.

The Focus RS certainly gets high marks from reviewers, and the waiting list for new cars seems rather long.

Just odd how many Demonstrator / Used / Management cars are advertised and appear to not be selling.

Maybe that is down to the asking price as Ford / Ford Dealers try to not have reports of high depreciation by dropping the Asking Prices.

Reminds of the GT86 / BRZ, and currently the Hot BMW's. Road testers big them up, some buy them, and many sit not selling as Manufacturers make sure they First Register enough.

Best colour imo. Metallic grey!!

Good spec and a wow plate!!

A couple of recalls on RS. What do you owners know?

Seems like Fezza es.was right about high oil consumption, dependent upon spirited  use.

Snagging faults and good that Ford react quickly to them and try to resolve.

There is a lesson there for some other manufacturers like the 2nd biggest car manufacturing group in the world.

(Once for a few months the biggest.)

Oh!! George you mean the Parent company of your current No1 car- subsidiary of VW -Seat.

So with all the engineering R&D experts exploiting all the cars power attributes they never found the oil consumption issues over the 2+years development programme.

Too busy with the Media Spin and videos of Drifting and testing & getting everything right and then engine management before signing off getting the over fueling for the crackles and pops.

More update info on RS.

There's a stack of these sitting in my local Evans Halshaw - I'd like one but think it would be too wide for my lock up...

McRae & D1ck (now owned by Parks...) in Stirling have a grey one - first one I've seen - looks fantastic.

Brian,

Are Ford offering" to die for "finance deals to secure ?

Is that VW's spiel? It rings a bell.

Latest update on Recall items from owner. I wonder how the UK Dealerships are handling these?

Perhaps UK owners , some of which are notable members on this site and of the UK Focus RS Owners Club RS, would like to comment as to their experiences with dealerships.

Stumbled on this guys collection of reviews. Jay Kay video reviews.

Thanks Keith.

Brave salesman, & helpful too. Brings back memories...............

Better than most accompanied test-drives, especially re routing & enabling some pf the performance to be explored.

I'm surprised that the dealer allowed the "customer" to fit a camera to a demo car, that's a 1st for me.

Not impressed with the control layout, but if you own a car you'll learn it, it just takes time especially when moving brands.

Pity Ford don't offer their Powershift 'box in the RS, it might attract some extra customers.

DC

So this, overtime time is Fezza's main frustration with his Focus RS.
