Looking at the 208 GTI though I think it doesn't have rear LED indicator either. That would be a first to me. So yes maybe Superb does have front LED indicator integrated with LED DRL but then it's even more strange to have standard read indicator. Just looks odd and wrong to me.

My 2014 FL has front led indicator, side indicator is also led. But rear indicator is a normal bulb

Glad that it sounds as if the 280BHP TSI will make it to the UK, I would imagine the sales should be significantly better than the old 3.6 as with emissions of 165g/km and 40MPG combined it should be a lot more attractive.

 

Not sure if there are really any competitors for it either? Are there any other cars of a similar size with that amount of power and 4wd, without going really expensive?

Yikes the 2,8 Insignia must weigh a LOT to be THAT slow compared to the Superb that has 45hp LESS! And then add to that the 251 vs 164 g/CO2. Game over I'd say.

The Insignia VXR certainly doesn't feel slow when driven hard, but you can definitely tell there's a lot of weight to it. It's not a car you chuck about on a track.

All New Mondeo offers 240 ps / 340 Nm, 7.9 secs, 169g CO2 (6-speed auto), so in the ball-park but not a real contender.

That's a little bit larger than the sizes on the O3, as you would expect for a bigger car.

Of course if they are an unusual size they'll be more pricey than the more common ones.

Well hopefully the profile will be higher than the current 18s which are 40. The 215 on the 17s seems odd, did they mean 225 I wonder? Maybe they will go with 235 for 18s and 245 on the 19s? As mentioned above this will all make for expensive replacements !

If we (correctly) assume Superb and Passat are the same MQB plattaform, the 18" rims should be associated with 235/45 R18 tyres, the same as in top-of-the-line Passat Sport.

I think the stats for the Superb are a little too good.

 

Not sure how the Cupra 280 DSG Seat Leon can only muster 0-60 in 5.8s and the much heavier Superb will do it in the same time?

 

Yes I know the 4x4 aids off the line, however the Superb 280 will not be allowed to be too much quicker than the top of the range BiTDI Passat and certainly shouldn't match a car with over 200kg less body weight like the Seat Cupra    

 

I do though admit it is looking a very tasty car,...

True, but one could outweigh the other ending up with a similar time. Not saying the Cupra wouldn't be generally quicker, but the 4x4 will be especially helpful off the line. That's quite a lot of power to put down for the 2wd Leon! Could be geared differently too.
