MY16

Hello,

the tdi VRS will be upgraded to 190hp, 400nm EU6?

Thanks, BR

Umberto

It's extremely unlikely that it would get the engine from the Passat. mosty certainly the one from the GTD, which is still the 184ps and 380NM, but EU6.

Unlikely....the 184ps unit is already EU6 compliant without SCR.

They may replace it with the 190ps unit at some stage but dont doubt the A3 and Golf GTD would get it first if any.

exactly. it's the same engine as is offered for the scout. If the A3 and GTD don't thet the 190PS, the Octy certainly won't get it either.

If the 190bhp is correct then I'll be a happy bunny :-)

Those 6 PS won't be that important, I'm not sure if you will feel the 20NM either tbh. You actually won't since it won't get them ;)

What happens if I order a VRS with the free Amundsen now. Am I likely to get:

1.old Amundsen

2.new Amundsen

3.new but get charged?

Off road assistant for Scout would be great. Wonder if it will be a retrofittable software update?

Bahhh..Haha my car hasn't even arrived yet and it's out of date.

I don't feel too bad about it as the Columbus is still a fine piece of kit. Wouldn't be happy knowing that the smaller screen Bolero/Amundsen is getting a jump in size had I ordered them instead.

Same for me ordered a 1.8 tsi manual elegance with canton/columbus , car should arrive arround 15 may... Hope there will be a sw or at least hw upgrade to implement smatlink or i will be pretty angry with Skoda... Columbus should benefit from a sw update since screen resolution remains the same... Right? :)

Having been in a dealer tonight speccing my Scout:

1) No mention of Amundsden/Columbus update on the Octavia

2) No mention of Trinity wheels for Scout

3) Offroad Assist will be standard on the Scout;

4) Scout 184DSG engine drops to 129g/km Carbonic Anhydride - (which in theory drops a VED band to "D" - £110 p.a.)

Hey everyone,

I ordered a new Octavia Elegance over the weekend, am I likely to get any upgrades/ am I going to get a MY16 Octavia?

Haven't been given a build or delivery date as of yet, been told will take 12 weeks but order hasn't been processed yet.

Now on www.skoda-auto.cz  http://www.skoda-auto.cz/SiteCollectionDocuments/skoda-auto/ke-stazeni/octavia-cenik.pdf :

Bolero + Amundsen 6.5', with SmartLink as option.

Columbus incl. SmartLink

In the CZ L&K SmartLink is standard with Bolero. Hope it will be the same in Denmark :)

The 1.4 TSI have been upgrated KW/HP wise allright based on the cz list, but it doesn't seem to have done anything with the fuel economy at all. Perhaps this 1.4 TSI version, is just a tuned version without ACT.

Try to check the model brochure at www.skoda.sk . As far as i know the motor data is updated. Btw. funny we live in the same town :)

Yes, the power output has been changed, but the fuel consumptions stays the same (at least for the 1.4 TSI) - also on the .sk site. That is ok, that just gives me an incetive to go for the DSG version :D, which just about places the car in the lowest tax category (in DK).

I anticipated that the engines would be with ACT, and a slightly better (theoretical) fuel  consumption.

And yes, Ølstykke seems to be Octavia town here in DK :D

Actually..

If the 1.6tdi is uprated to 110bhp does that mean they're finally migrating to the VW 6-speed? The 105bhp engine is already a little cracker - would be ideal if they added the 6th gear.

What is the 'Offroad Assist'? Is it the same as the Off-road button available on the 4x4 Yeti?

127 or 129 g and VED D is pretty impressive. Wonder how the MY16 Scout and Yeti prices will compare.

No price changes for Octavia were on the list I saw.

No idea about Yetis.

Anyone know when any drop in VED would apply from? That is, when it becomes official on the registration doc.

My ordered car (Elegance 1.4tsi) is tentatively produced the week before the MY16-updateweek (week 22). Must admit that it is annoying if the updated version has +10HP (7kW) and upgraded Amundsen (larger screen and better resolution) at no additional cost? As mentioned earlier here in the feed, the car is "expired" before I even have received it.

Just had a call from my dealer, confirming my car (ordered last Saturday) will be a 16my vehicle, it will have the active park assist and ACC, he can't confirm yet if it will still be called Elegance, or if it will become a Style.

Expects the Admundsen to be MIB2, but had no further details yet

My dealer has just confirmed the mayor changes from the German list also applies in Denmark, but we have chosen to stay on the MY15 and not wait for the MY16.

The mayor changes:

Engine upgrade: We are going from a 15yo Felicia (originally 75HP - now maybe 60HP), so I don't think we will feel the +10HP difference in the 1.4 TSI.

MIB2 upgrade: Can be retrofitted, and my dealer promises to have a 'better' 3th party alternative in Q4 - and we chose the Bolero to get the CD player, so we don't want to loose it in an 'upgrade'.

The delivery time:

The dealer confirmed the order in week 6, and were told to expect build in week 16 - then we got bumped to week 20 (plus 3 weeks delivery), and told that others has been bumped another 7 weeks ahead.

So if we were to choose the MY16, we would have to wait for a delivery to us in late July.

be interested to see what i get, its just been ordered today and was told 10 to 12 weeks, had free sat nav so not sure which one i'll get

Looking to order today too. I'm wanting new sat nav or nothing at all!

If you want new then I think you'll need to pay.

The offer of free sat nav is for a limited time and it's the Amundsen unit. They are giving it away free to clear old stock before the new model is introduced.

At least that my understanding. Someone with more knowledge may be able to offer further.

What you planning on ordering? If you don't mind me asking.

Retrofitted? Nice. Now, what's the price...

Anyone got the info on the vrs

Just ordered a VRS Estate this weekend! Will post any news that I hear but am reasonably confident my car will be a MY16... (I hope)

I've got some bad news... From the document I read from my dealer it looks like octavias are not getting the new MIB2 unit...
