Octavia build dates for new orders

Featured Replies

Tech pack is $1900, which is about £950 at current exchange rate. This is the Aus brochure link with all the pricing. http://www.skoda.com.au/SiteCollectionDocuments/Brochures/Octavia-Pricing-Brochure-incl-RS-MY15.5.pdf

That's amazing that you actually save money when buying more options. (37% off for the tech pack!) Here in the UK if you want the heated screen they force you to spend another £300 on other options to go with it with no discount

I ordered my 1.4 Elegance on 9th March. Updates from my dealership don't seem to be a good as some of the ones you guys seem to be getting. I get an email email every couple of weeks.

Last update was build week 15 (w/c 6th April) and got another email today saying it's now in transit. Expected handover w/c 11th May.

Ordered a TDi Octy vRS estate on Friday 9th Apr and have been told delivery would be around the end of June, stock date 19/06 then delivery 10 days after this. Sound about right?

Looks like it will be pretty close for any MY16 changes, I didn't realise!!

Options wise specced it with;

Corrida Red

Elec heated + adjust door mirror

Crew protection assist and rear side airbags

Black Design Pack

Anthracite Gemini

Winter pack

Leather with red stitching

Sunset glass

Space saver

Satnav

Rear camera

Ordered Scout 150 via Lease on 14/02

Pacific Blue with spare wheel

Build week 18 (27/04 to 03/05).

That's pretty close to the spec of vrs I am looking at. Looks like you are close to the MY16 builds. Did you get the free Amundsen sat nav?

Yeah got the amundsen on for free so took the reversing camera, that'll be handy.

I was reading on here it may be due an update with the MY16?

Yes. That's what I am waiting on. Don't know if I want to order when the Amundsen is free (but within) the MY16 build window or wait until there is definite news of am upgrade to the head unit. Chris, did they tell you when you could change your order up till?

There was no mention of when I could change it up to. I'm not too fussed, surely won't be that much of a change? I wouldn't have had the Sat nav if it wasn't free to be honest, but I was keen for the camera.

Airbags and crew protection, are those options in UK?

It's additional rear airbags, the crew protection bit seems to just close the Windows up, expensive for what it is but wanted the additional airbags with the young fella in the back.

I fully understand why tou got them. Im just surprised they are an option. Here even the most basic model has all the airbags.

Totally agree, they should be standard imo, it's surprising they're not.

They aren't standard here in Finland either, and Crew protection assistant is a separate option as well.

Both of those are standard in Norway. Other things listed as standard safety equipment is xds, multi collision brake, heated washer nozzles and the fatigue warning thingy and a few other things.

Highly unusual to get anything in Oz at a better price or discount than the UK, its usually entirely the opposite! Wonder if it has something to do with Skoda still being a fledgling brand over here...? Starting to see a few more of them on the roads so it might all change if they get a bit more popular.

Got an update from Skoda this morning....my car is on a ship on its way here!!

expected at the dealers on 19th May with delivery shortly after. Hurrah!!

Were you initially told 12 week wait? Seems your car is coming early... Lucky!

I wonder if my sunroof is going to cause delays in building mine. I wouldn't mind an early July delivery as it means I get an MY16 car. But don't want to miss the summer (which seems to be arriving early [emoji295] [emoji295] )

Ordered my scout on the 26th March and this is what my dealer has said -

'build week 23, going into build week commencing 1st June 2015 and I would expect delivery to be the end of June beginning of July.'

It's additional rear airbags, the crew protection bit seems to just close the Windows up, expensive for what it is but wanted the additional airbags with the young fella in the back.

Crew protection opens or closed the windows to a position of 38mm open (optimum for allowing airbag deployment whilst stopping objects entering the vehicle) and pre-tensions the seat belts in the event of a skid. This feature can be disabled by turning of the ESC whilst driving in Sport Mode for track days, more sprinted driving. Being pinned to seat is bloody annoying when your sawing away at the wheel but, like you we have a little one in the back so HAD to have it.

So has anybody ordered a tdi vRS estate recently then? I'm wondering if the quoted 10 weeks to delivery is realistic?

Our scout was ordered a week earlier than yours (19th March) and is being built next week (week 17), which was brought forward a week! So hopefully yours maybe sooner also?

Did you have any addons to the standard spec?

I chose metallic pain -moon white, front parking sensors and keyless entry
