How common is the vRS over there? I have yet to see one in the flesh.

Pretty common due to this being the third body style and as I said there are lots of offers/deals on at the moment driving the orders through. I know they won't prioritise the VRS over other models so that's why delivery times are better for non-VRS Octavia's I reckon.

Ordered 15th March and I've been told last Tuesday that it's due st the dealers "imminently" and they're just waiting for the transport company to get their act together. Apparently it got to Grimsby on the 16th May.

Are you sure that's not the delivery date? Or could the dealer have misinterpreted the week number? Unless Bulgaria gets a very special build and they build all the Bulgarian models once a quarter?

4th week of April to week beginning 15 June is 7 or 8 weeks, depending on exactly which week in April the 4th week is. I ordered on 24 April and got quoted 12-14 weeks for delivery which is sometime in the second half of July, but I don't know when it will be built.

His exact words were: it is scheduled to be build in week 37， probably around 4th of september，and will be delivered 2 weeks later.

Anyone who ordered around week 16 and got an (Definitive) builddate/week?

Not a confirmed date, but I ordered a VRS estate on week 16 and got a provisional build week of 24.

I've had an updated order detail sheet today (as I queried the black roof rails/black pack), which says "order status: A-assigned" and "original date: 10/6/15"

I assume (maybe incorrectly) that the build is still wk 24 or it would have said something different?

It does say MY16 under order characteristics, which I was happy about though!

I got the black pack for my vRS Estate too. When you try to add the pack onto the estate it automatically adds on the black roof rails on the configurator. Also on my order form. There are 2 clear options for black pack and black roof rails.

Ordered a Skoda Octavia Scout on the 8th of March & still waiting for delivery, dealer said at the time of ordering it could take up to 12 weeks for delivery but was confident I would see the car in May.

 

I've had no communication from the Dealer without contacting them myself for an update, two weeks ago the dealer finally rang me back saying the car has been built & is waiting at Emden port ready to be shipped to Grimsby.. he said it was a two week process from Emden to delivery to the customer including the finance paperwork being sent out & returned.

 

He would contact me as soon as the car was in the country.

 

Still waiting for that call...

 

Is this a typical example of the Skoda experience?

I've had no communication from the Dealer without contacting them myself for an update, two weeks ago the dealer finally rang me back saying the car has been built & is waiting at Emden port ready to be shipped to Grimsby.. he said it was a two week process from Emden to delivery to the customer including the finance paperwork being sent out & returned.

He would contact me as soon as the car was in the country.

Still waiting for that call...

My car took 10 days from leaving the factory to me collecting from the dealer, it was actually with the dealer in 8 days.

I believe delivery from Grimsby to the dealer can be a gamble. Mine was really quick but have read posts from people stating there car has been there for 3-4 weeks!!!

The wait is torture but it's worth it!!

I have had the same experience but you hint at it yourself in the post, it's only a lease deal and the fact that where I ordered mine from( Simpsons deal) they had run this particular vRS offer for 3 months and then all other models available too!!. That equals one very busy dealer just on PCH alone. Then also from build date to delivery at dealer there is not much point in telling the customer as I couldn't be arsed being told about every little step it takes, all I cared about was getting the phone call to say "Great news it's here when can you collect?!".

 

If you have been given a timeframe for when it should be delivered to dealer that's all that matters and it will probably be pretty accurate, mine has been 8-10 weeks and I should be collecting next Saturday, end of week 9 as per the above!.

Hello. I am in the same boat (cars also maybe?!) I ordered the end of March/start of April. Been told my car is at the

Grimsby port and should be at the dealers within a wk. Then they will sort paper work and arrange delivery to me (at a cost). So I am hoping 2wks tops?

Hi, As of today I have been told the car should of been delivered at some point today and collection is next Tuesday( All being well!).

Order: Week 8

Build: Week 20

Delivery: Week 24

16 weeks from order to delivery.

Specification:

- Scout 150

- Topaz metallic

- No other options

This order was placed directly with a main dealer, rather than a lease broker.

My car is now sat at the dealership waiting to be picked up.

All cars produced in and after week 22 (last week) are my2016. Changes differ from model (i.e vrs or not). Al lot of things are unclear and somewhat verified. I know for a fact the 1.6 TDI gets 110 bhp instead of 105bhp and mib2 Columbus with smartlink if You live in the netherlands. I assume this is europe wide. See my16 thread for other confirms or uncertaincies. One fact remains. Buildweek after week 21 is my2016.

thanks for that. I've read up a bit now and count myself pretty lucky. I had no idea this was the case but it explains why it took a bit of work with the lease company to sort the fact that the navigation wasn't a cost option any more.

My build has been put back not forward. Sorry if i didn't make that clear.

Update!

 

Rang the dealer on Tuesday for some news.. the car is in the UK waiting for transport.

 

Got a call yesterday (yes they rang ME!) saying it's arrived at the dealers.. just waiting on finance paperwork.

I went in today & signed up... they advised it takes three working days to process & I will be able to collect the car next Thursday :clap:

My order was specified in April with ipod interface as a cost option. As it's now been confirmed I have a 2016 model does anyone know if this is automatically related with the Smartlink option?
