Castle Combe Forge Summer Action Day 12/9/15 - Track Time + Show

Unplugging map sensor will kill any forced induction engine? :D

Normally aspirated cars will require block of wood under the pedal.

I actually thought after the second session ended on lap 1 I should have unplugged my N75. Limited boost is better than no boost!

  • OK, so I;ve now edited all my pictures and uploaded to photo bucket. The first sessions pictures didn't come out how I wanted, but got there by the second session   As there are so many, I'll post

  • A great big thanks to Devonutopia for organising the day.   I had a great time.  Thoroughly enjoyed being overtaken by just about everyone. LOL.

  • This was bit of a disaster for me! But it was great up to moment my car sprayed oil all over the track and became totally uncontrollable. It must have been virtually out as it needed a lot of oil! T

What about skoda engines only sessions ;)

This makes me sad.

This makes me sad.

Just sold a felica or something ;) haha

This makes me sad.

Perhaps overtake a few less people if you havent got 5 times the power ;)

Perhaps Jason should send out some 'How's my driving?' stickers in the entry packs.

Just a thought......

People forget Jason's Fabia is going to be 350bhp and Simon's Octy has more bhp than my Yeti now...

We could turn in to the tin top trophy or something where everyone has the same power to weight exactly :D   I could see that being logistically quite amusing. :D

The masterclass of momentum.

Copart challenge :P

15 minute session,,,,,,,,,, they might get one lap in :D

Well if nothing else the back end of this thread has amuses me for the last few minutes!I think we all have the potential to be a bit "spirited" once on a race track but as a spectator this time round I generally saw fair driving esp compared to some of the other sessions.id still sooner do a brisky session than other mixed at combe. I think with combe you can a massive mix of cars and talent which makes entertaining viewing but potentially worrying tracking. So do a brisky session at combe or go silverstone where the standard of driving/cars tends to be a bit better.

Excuse me?

Can you show me photos/video where I was half on the grass during the Briskoda session?

For your info I got told off for crossing the blend line leaving the pits to start the session.

They did mention I was a bit close to Mark through Folly, but I was pulled in for hooning out of the pits and over the white line.

I got a bit close to Mark (former mk2 Fabia VRS owner) when he swung over to the left going through Folly which in the briefing is not a no-overtaking zone.

Which I apologised to him later for.

Even though you are allowed to overtake there, I could have been more cautious.

Love chinese whispers!

I was with Richard as the passenger during this session and I remember every second of it.

I can confirm that what Richard is saying here is true and he got told of for the reasons he mentioned above.

He also did not force anyone to move out of the way...!!!

There was a BMW on track with us? don't remember seeing it at all on both sessions, couldn't have been that fast :D

I thoroughly enjoyed myself even though I was caught out coming up in to the final bend before Quarry (forgot I didn't have teh power of my Cupra R) on one of the laps. I didn't experience any of the discourteous driving that people have mentioned nor did I see any of the incidents requiring us to leave the track.
