Power Commander auto tune process started today. New rearsets are fitted and feel great. Just the indicators to replace with something more fitting and maybe period looking clipons and gripsIMG_0401.thumb.JPG.2f37ea8ac45874e52d4c3ee2e36df1f9.JPG

This one just gone on eBay can only ride one at once and it gets the least miles

You must be a bit younger than most of us. Last time I rode a motocross bike on a track I ached weeks after, probably because I no longer bounce as well as I used to.

I'm assuming that's a two stroke

Showin your age there Cward ;):D

I still feel 21 but my body likes to remind me all too much that I'm certainly not. Don't even get me started on hangovers.

The wife says that I still look as good as Brad Pitt at the start of Benjamin Button. That is a good thing, isn't it?

I used to ride enduro in the army with a bit of motocross for fun. When I got out I tried to continue but the clamp down on noise was killing off loads of local motocross tracks and I didn't have the time or money to pursue it. I wish I kept some of the bikes now especially the 1991 Yamaha YZ250 works bike, the setup was perfect and was the first time I realised how important suspension setup was, sold it when I was skint. The other was a 1989 CR500. A real monster of a bike, a pig to start and terrifying to ride. It would just pull constantly, the power seemed endless even and it was just waiting to spit you off. Some scrote stole it from my van whilst it was parked in the drive. I only hope the bike took a dislike to him and promptly killed him. I had thought of converting that to Supermoto at the time as it was just starting to popularity then and the tracks were more easily accessible.

James, if I can offer any advice it's to make sure you strap or use braces on your knees.  I really wish I had done earlier it doesn't bother you at the time but every twist and knock takes it toll.

CR500 are deadly machines they petrify me, rode one at around 13 years old and it spat me straight off the back, been scared of them ever since they are unpredictable, vicious, evil money pits... I'll stop talking about the Mrs now ;) great fun to ride but you really gotta have your whits about you with them!

i always gear up properly, last thing I wanna do is take myself out of work as I'm self employed... so i tend to wrap myself in bubble wrap and then some.

I would love love to get the bike road legal however my past road experiences have ended two ways... in trouble with the police or in hospital for 6 weeks! Honestly officer the front wheel just happened to come up in the air :D

Grom was great fun but struggling on hills and in head winds was getting a bit much

they do a 180cc big more kit dont they? hahaa.

They do but by the time you have a big bore and all the other bits needed to make it work reliably you have spent more than a CB500 and the thing is a loud animal. I am to old and grumpy for bikes like that now

Had a number of bikes over the years, my first was a pretty old Honda CG125, I loved that crappie old bike, done the conversion to mag wheels and cable front brake disc from a CB, I thought I looked as cool as Eskimo p**s.

Had a break for a bit then picked up 1 of theses for a bit of fun

230cc oil cooled twin.

I then decided to go back to 2 wheels and picked up this little beauty.

Honda NSR125

Got my test passed and set about riding the wife's bike for a bit

Suzuki SV650

Then got my own bike

Suzuki RF600

Had enough of sports bikes so sold it and bought a Honda CRM250 a developed a love for all things muddy.

I then wend full blown road legal enduro and got myself a GasGas EC300, this bike was an animal, and seemed to spend more time picking it up then riding it.

Then summer happened and felt it was time to give sports bikes another crack, so picked up a nice GSXR600.

The Wife decided she wanted to nick the GSXR600 for herself so I set about finding another enduro and ended up with a KTM EXC400

Sold the KTM 4 badger in favor of a bit of speed for the summer and ended up with a Kawasaki ZX9r ninja.

I then couldn't resist going back to a 2 stroke, so got myself a KTM EXC250 and entered a couple of enduros

Got rid when I just couldn't put the time in due to work, family, life, ect. The last ktm was about 7 years ago.

Then this sexy bit of kit fell into my lap earlier this year for a crazy cheap price but it was in boxes, so set about putting it together to have a little bit of fun then flip for a tidy profit.
