Confirmed build week 6. (That's next week) Ordered 27th November. SE Business estate 2.0 150 with a few extras.

Contacted dealer today to update them! They then tell me it's being built this week. Have asked for conformation.

You might be right about 2017!

I hope, You are lucky and will enjoy Your car still this year, maybe on march - who knows.

I had the same message from my dealer. Reckon they must have a UK production run set up. My car was ordered 2 weeks before yours.

Just wondering ,-- Having sent Skoda U.K. 6 Emails ( only received one reply ) and made one phone call ( left listening to a strange noise for a while ) has anyone contacted the C.E.O. of Skoda U.K. to ask what is going on ( or is not ) they seem to think customers are a pain.............

Just put my order in with our lease agent:

1.6 TDI Greenline III SEL Executive Combi

Black Magic Pearlescent

Black Leather interior

Heated Windscreen

LED Package Plus

Canton Sound System

Heated Windscreen washer nozzles

ISOFIX on front passenger seat

Colour Maxi Dot Trip Computer

Heated Front and Rear seats

I couldn't spec a towbar on Greenline model. Can this be a dealer fit?

Yes, when mine went out to Week 16 from Week 8 and no one could explain why and a member of the call centre stated "tough luck that is the way it is" I did contact Skoda UK's CEO.  They have kept in regular contact and have been the only people within Skoda to actually say why the delay is happening.  However they have admitted that they are powerless and that the factory takes no notice of them.  However I will say accurate information is hard to come by in the team, the gentleman I am dealing with says one thing and another member of the team totally contradicted everything he said (he was off so a colleague contacted me).  My dealer is grateful for the complaint into them as one of the things I have complained about is the lack of communication out to the dealers which is something they are having a moan about also.

One thing I have noticed is that they hate the fact that this much information is in the public domain (i.e. this forum) as they try and cover up at times.  The amount of times I have been told a build week is x date when it is y and that they have never known x or y to happen, as soon as you inform them you a member of the forum they quickly change their answers!

I can feel a ( strongly worded ) Email coming on..........................

In fairness I think it just depends on the spec and, if certain parts are not available, you get pushed further down the line.

When I ordered mine in mid October I was given a delivery date of mid-Feb to March and that is when I am likely to get it.

I have had weekly updates from my dealer and the build week only changed by 2 weeks during the whole process.

Having said that, my last Mk 2 Superb was a disaster in terms of getting built because of paint problems but they did compensate me with 3 years free servicing.

Oh yeah totally agree that problems and parts shortages occur.  I was very clear in my complaint that I appreciated that things happen, but the lack of communication and general attitude was the problem.  He admitted that the wheels had been a problem for a while but they had obviously decided not to contact customers as the alternative wheels were also having problems.  I don't mind waiting (to a degree) but it is nice to be kept informed after all it is a sizeable sum of money involved.

Following this thread it is easy to see the frustration being caused by the success of the Superb 3. It is a great car but I wonder how realistic the picture really is.

How many of us have confirmed build weeks that are beyond the delivery dates you were given when ordering? If you have then have/did Skoda or your dealer explain why?

How many of us have received cars later than originally promised? If so by how many weeks?

In other words if there is an issue how big is it? And therefore how much effort can we expect Skoda to use to sort it.

Those might be questions that Skoda UK management are asking.

As to communications. I found Skoda UK and my dealer to be excellent on both counts. Much better than some other marques I could mention.

I have never believed that writing to a CEO of a large company makes any difference unless there is a major, major mess to sort. Most such letters/emails just get redirected to the 'sort it out and let me know if I need to know anything' team.

My car as arrived at may dealer today they sent me a video of my car before prep starts nice I thought ordered 28 November se l estate

Long shot, but are we getting more delays because I would presume there is less allocation to RHD cars?

I think the delays are the same for RHD or LHD.

Received the following email from Skoda UK today:-

Email Subject: Your Superb enters our factory today

"Today is an exciting day, because our technicians are starting work on your new Superb. In a couple of weeks it will have been assembled in one of our state-of-the-art factories, and we'll be spraying it in your chosen before carefully adding the finishing touches. Then, once we've carried out a series of safety checks, it'll begin it's journey to the UK."

Pity they missed the word which comes after chosen - let's hope it was colour !!

I'm looking forward to the day I get that email! I had an email from Skoda today too, but it was just thanking me for the order (I placed the order last Tuesday). Hopefully next week I'll have an idea of the build week ☺

Company car order placed on Monday, candy White manual hatch 150 SEL Exec with Pegasus wheels and rear wiper, lease company quoting delivery late April.

Does this sound realistic?

Excited to be coming back to the fold, my 4th Skoda including Mk 1 and Mk2 Superbs.

Does everyone get this email....?

Does everyone get this email....?

I certainly got it the other day and the "thanks for buying a Skoda" type mail a loooooong time ago now (4 months and counting).

Hmm, well after 2 weeks haven't even got 'thanks for order'....

This may be glacial...

Just an update on timelines for mine:

30th October - ordered with lease company

4th November - ordered with/by dealer

28th January - arrived at dealer

4th February - delivered to me

So roughly 13 weeks from order with dealer.

Scant consolation to those who ordered before this and still haven't even got a build date. My S2 took 9 months so this is a massive improvement.

As I've said before, imo, this is a mixture of high initial demand, production teething issues and some dealers holding orders over to the next month to help results but also the dealer we use having a large quantity of factory build slots.

Does everyone get this email....?

Not had one email from skoda at all .....

I never had any nails from them.

Or mails even ....
