14 weeks in and no build week given..

I feel your pain, ordered 01/12/15 been told by the lease company that they have a delivery date booked in for the 01/06/16 but can't confirm that until the car is at the dealer. Only consolation is that the misses new merc a class amg was delivered today, so least I have something to play with during the wait!

I had a phone call from my dealer early this morning informing me that my Superb has now been built and has an SLi Physical Status Code of 30 (In transit from factory). I'm rather hoping it will be in my possession before 11th May for on that date I depart on a trip to Champagne & the Loire Valley, via Belgium, to source Champagne & wine for my daughter's wedding in June. I'm looking forward to a bit more luxury than my otherwise excellent Octavia III Elegance Estate 2.0 TDI CR 150PS DPF MY14 provides. I wonder if I will take delivery of my Superb in time? It looks like being touch & go.

In the event of disappointment, my trusty Octavia estate will do the job almost as well, for a couple of years back we went on a similar run for my son's wedding. We came back with over 100 bottles of Champagne & wine which the car swallowed up with ease and coped admirably with the return journey.

I decided this morning to kick off the process for putting my existing personalised vehicle registration number on retention and obtaining a new vehicle registration number for my Octavia. I couldn't believe how quick the process now is. In less than an hour I had applied online and completed the transaction, visited my dealer who made up the new number plates while I waited and was back home! Now for the job of changing the number plates on my Octavia.

I did my retention yesterday. Easy online application £80 paid and new number issued for my S2.

Informed insurer that my S2 has a new plate and no problem.

My cherished plate will go on the S3 when it arrives.....

Hello there and welcome, I think you are being a being a bit optimistic with a 2018 delivery though!

Esp as there's no such model as se exec. Meant business obviously.

Cheers! However they were saying it can take 2 weeks to build- I hope that's just them erring on the side of caution....!

It has been posted on here that people have received Email from factory saying- Your car has entered ( perhaps they mean LEFT ) the factory. Our dealer Emailed last week ( tue ) to say the car was built and in transit to Emden. Thing is nothing from factory/SUK any one else experienced this ?

I had an email from Skoda when I first placed the order, and something a couple of weeks later about accessories. Not heard anything since but my car still won't be built for another 3 weeks.

Collected my new Superb on Friday Afternoon. Orderded on the 16/12/2015. Build week was originally BW14 then broought forward to BW11 and landed in the port of Tyne at the begining of W14. Nothing to dislike at the moment.

Finally received a new build week into my blank spot. Set to week 26 right now. Order was week 1.

I've not received such an email, but for that to be possible it would be dependent on the dealer passing on my email address and I don't know if that would have been done. Wouldn't all communication normally be via the dealer as agent for the car?

It would seem my Email address has been passed on to someone --- Had a request from skoda ( u.k. i think ) to order "extras" for our car , a number of which i had already specified for the car.................

Email from the dealer today, car built yesterday and current status 'released to ship'. Ordered Feb 10th. Expected in 4 weeks or so I guess, that will be at the earlier end of dealer estimate so pretty pleased. On par time wise with my insignia in 2012.

Just received an e-mail from NCD to get in touch for a delivery date, as the car is due at the dealer in two days time, I have arranged a delivery for 28th April and to be fair I am now very excited like a kid at Christmas, if all goes as planed that's 4 weeks earlier than expected ordered 28th Jan. delivered 28th April, when I was expecting very early June. Lets hope all goes as expected. :clap: :clap: :clap:

Poor you, that is horrible.

​Two friends of ours decided to change their car & opted for a Hyundi . Visit to dealer they spected some extras & color . dealer looked at whats in stock/ available-- found right car ,right colour with most of the requested items fitted. Not to worry dealer said can fit them. so 3 weeks later they are driving a new car, us ? 18 weeks on still waiting....................

 

P.S. - however good the car is i will do my best to put people off after this !

I was told build week 15 was available when I ordered the car and it has never moved from this week (BW 15), I had a Jaguar XF when they were first launched and that was a 6 month leadtime and was built in Coventry!
