VCDS 15.7.3 just been released, is it safe to use yet?

Apparently so, although about the only thing I need to go into 5F for is the TSR... and the Octavia coding does not work.

I just tried to put traffic sign recognition on with VCDS (using Octavia 3 guide)

(63) traffic_sign_recognition_0x21     on Superb it reads:

(63) -Locked menu contents-FB_NAV_6

DO NOT PERFORM ANY CODINGS ON 5F CONTROLLER OR YOU WILL LOSE MENUES.

Read this: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/374919-my16-mib2-coding/

And you are looking in the wrong part of the ad. channel structure.

Now that 15.7.3 seems to work  fine on 5F ... how did you code the TSR for the Superb?

TSR is what I wanted, hopefully some tech guy on here can find away to do it.

I didn't, because all the Superbs that I have worked on already had it activated.

But I think that this is what you are looking for :):

(63)-Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2-traffic_sign_recognition_0x21,activated

(64)-Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2-traffic_sign_recognition_0x21_msg_bus,Databus extended

CONFIRMED WITH A CAR THAT I USED AS A ''VIRGIN'' and did not have TSR enabled ;): it had this 63 channel disabled.

Foglights as coming home lights (the DRL’s and SLA ‘eyelashes’ also light up  ;) )

Do you have any info on how this is done ?

(Sorry if I've missed it in this thread or the other one!)

Anyone tried to enable Lane Assist with the new version?

This is not working on my car, are you sure it's "(64) databus extended" as there are a few options in there, (63) is enabled

If I would not be sure I would not have given this info. I tripple checked also with Passat with TSR from factory and it is correct.

Did you code also other needed stuff? This is not enough for TSR to be activated.

No I have only done (63) and (64), what is the other needed stuff please?

(64) was already Databus extended on my car,

With the Octavia coding all are accepted until:

Controller 17 (Instruments)

07 Coding

Byte 5

Bit 2 Enable - "Traffic Sign Recognition installed"

This is when I get:

Error: Dynamic Road Sign Display

Also there is no "Display end of speed limit symbol" under A5

Controller A5 (Front / front view camera)

16 - Security Access - enter 20103

10 - Adaptations

Select channel Display end of speed limit symbol

Change to activated

Pre any coding:

(63)-Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2-traffic_sign_recognition_0x21 not activated

(64)-Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2-traffic_sign_recognition_0x21_msg_bus Databus extended

If I understand correctly it does not accept the coding? Did you log it with Ross-tech if they have some idea how to go past this?

I double checked with other cars that had TSR factory installed and all had this activated.

Pre any coding:

(63)-Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2-traffic_sign_recognition_0x21 not activated

(64)-Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2-traffic_sign_recognition_0x21_msg_bus Databus extended

The same with my test car without TSR.

It accepted the coding, but gave the above error, there was nothing else under Instruments regarding TSR either.

Maps for 5F, 17 and A5 as well as scan have been sent to RT.

So the error was shown on the instrument cluster?

What error was seen with VCDS?

Which navi do you have? Amundsen or Columbus?

Yes the error is with 17 and also shows on the maxidot and Columbus

Great news, sitting in the car trying to get it to work, guess I can go in to the family until you post details then :)

This is on a Columbus, it needs VCDS to make the changes BTW.
