where do dealers get prices from?

They make them up! That's why I, like you, don't use them for servicing any longer. Rip off merchants.

Good job you don't have an Airbus A380,  Wiper blades are in the region of $1000/$1500 each

Bose tape deck for a Honda NSX. 4.5K + VAT !! Dealers really are in a world of their own when it comes to pricing parts.

I got two aero wipers in Lidl for €12.99 a month or so back. They're working as well as the Bosch ones they replaced so far anyway... My dealer offered to replace all 3 wiper blades for €50 at the last service, which isn't terrible until you realise that the hardest part of the whole job is knowing the trick to park the wipers vertically so you can fold them away from the windscreen :)...

But you do get an Airbus A380 thrown in with them, so not so bad after all.

If there's nothing wrong with the backbone of the wiper this is another excellent option:

I always found whenever I changed the refills only that the wipers were much noisier than changing the arm itself....maybe it's just me[emoji848]

Just you...??? The ones I've done have been fine

Where do you get the refills from?

Are they bosch refills or just generic?

I've found the Bosch to have the best performance initially but degrade really quick, inside six months I wasn't as happy with them. I wasn't happy with the Valeo originally but they easily doubled the life of the Bosch pair.

I always get mine from wiperblades.co.uk as linked above by coops. I have found them completely reliable and you get a choice of six different brands of twin packs on their site for the Superb. Budget ones are only £12 plus delivery.

How come you only need one, wouldn't both blades wear at the same rate?

This is at least why they are always sold in pairs.
