Houston we have a problem...

 

I somehow got my dates mixed up (didn't realise this was the end of the Easter break) and so have a big family thing on.

So unfortunately I'm going to have to pull out.

There's a 64hp Citigo on track - no excuse :p  It's about the fun, not lap times.

I may yet go on in the octy...... I will need thise wishbones fist though jason! (and somewhere to fit the track tyres between where we meet up and castle coomb!)

So what sort of time do you guys rock up for this and what time are the sessions? I ask because I'd like to give it a go as it sounds like something fairly 'safe' given we'll be free from randoms in the sessions, but need to get back to Swindon by about 1 ish. Is that doable do you think?

Track slots in the past have been around 1045 followed by 1130-45. Assuming this year's are similar, I'd say you'd be fine to be in Swindon for 1300hrs.

The other option is to find another member who wants to do 1 session and split them between you with you taking the earlier of the two slots

In respect of these 'briskoda only' sessions being 'safe', as the saying goes 'motor sport is dangerous' IMHO I'd like to think that these sessions are a bit safer as you're driving with a group of like minded individuals, who bear a mutual respect, and a 'gentlemanly' understanding that there is a mix of power and skill within the group.

Last session ends at noon, so I would imagine its fine if you left right away.  No better way to cool the car down than head out for a nice gentle drive
