I would, if its a weekend and i actually own a bike at the time :D

Would have to be a weekend, life as a scumbag contractor takes me all over the place in the week.

Weekend works for me too.

I'm keen, can't do this weekend or next as I'm going abroad tomorrow.

I'd be keen so count me in if its not on those weekends.

Excellent another one in.

just browsing about as i do and found this...

Seems quite a few that are willing to follow that close doesnt there. Yet it only takes a moment like that n he's stuffed. No reason for the second bike to have come off really, if he kept a better distance.

Look at me with my sensible head on.. apologies..  :D

First thing first.  I am up for a meet but we tried last year and it came to nowt so like it always said on my school report 'must try harder'!

Second thing is work went well as the clutch broke on the van and the boss had to come and put all the produce in his fan, us both deliver it.  I then had to drive the 30 odd miles back without a clutch!  He wants me next week so I haven't been sacked. :D

Glad it went okay apart from the van. What van was it?

30 miles without a clutch cant of been nice haha.

Peugeot something heap of crap.  It was on it's way out and I think I have just brought that forward.  Every traffic light I came to was on red so brake to a stall and then start it in gear and hope the battery coped.  As luck would have it I have driven without a clutch before as that was one of the ways we kept amused on nights! :notme:

French ****e. nuff said haha.

ouch. I think id of got the AA out before id of done that if it was mine, but eh, its his van isnt it haha. Starter motor must of had a touch time, turning over a diesel and propelling it forwards. A few crunches on the box too? ;)

Yes, it is a style I've always liked.

How about Sunday 8th May for a meet up at the Ponderosa then?

Meet from 10:30 onwards for general banter and balcocks?

Been out today on the bike and even got the Mrs on the back. First time she's been on a bike but her family have bikes so she wore all the correct kit and I was very well behaved!

She loved it!!! Role on the summer :)

Good to hear!

I've been out on my VFR today too. Put a fresh MOT on it, no advisories too, so thats good.

Also got pulled over by a policeman, which i thought, 'ahhh ffs' but he was actually a really nice guy, so thats good. Was just doing spot checks on bikes, checked the tyres, insurance n what not, said what they're really looking for is stolen bikes as theres alot being taken lately.  Told me about his Tuono V4R (maybe thats why we got on so well?) and let me on my way again.

Chose not to notice the lack of BS and kitemark n what not on the baffleless exhaust, which was handy. I think he'd of looked for things like that if i was a pain in the arse with him. 9

We went out as it is the first decent day for ages when Jane was off and we could both get out on the bike.  As it was Good Friday we decided to have fish and chips somewhere.  We also need a new patio table after the one we have decided to split and warp this winter even though it was covered up.

So we headed off to Lincoln.  When we got to Wragby the queue of traffic going to Skegness started.  It carried on for about the next 10 miles constant line of folks heading off to the coast for the day/weekend.  Now it is like this every bank holiday so I wonder to myself why those that are going and especially those with caravans don't leave a bit earlier.  I mean it is 11.30 ish and how difficult would it be to get up early travel across and even if you cannot get onto site until later in the day pitch up in a layby and have a brew when you are a lot nearer!  Some folk huh?

So after our shopping expedition and din dins we decided to head off back the twisty way which coincidentally is a cracking biking road. :notme:   Still loads of people moving their kitchen sinks about on the roads back to Louth which meant plenty of opportunity to use the power of the TEX by using a combination of observation skills and fun.  Being out on a bike when the roads are busy like that is quite good fun at times and I must admit to having a big grin factor during the ride.

Oh and because the fish and chips were so good I decided to forego the obligatory cake stop. :D

Nice one Oli ! It goes to show that riding sensibly, wearing the right gear, a good clean bike and a courteous attitude is all that's needed.

The policeman would have made his mind up as soon as you took your lid off whether he would give you a hard time.

Good work.

It was truly a cracking day yesterday.

I decided to paint a second coat on the shed/garage which took all day as its so big but looks great now.

Our builder had a good day removing the front of the house in the sun which meant sleeping with a noisy tarp to the outside world and a very breezy bedroom. Not fun.

Fish n chips eh Chris - you can beat them, one of my faces. Sounds like you properly carved up the traffic !

Executing well timed overtakes, particularly 2 up is great fun. Takes concentration, planning and skill.

Well its t minus 45 minutes until bike collection, weather is blustery but dry. It feels like Christmas !!!

Woo hoo.

Attitude test failure was the thing that got anyone in trouble with me.  If they were fine with me I was fine with them because I learnt very early on I could always turn up the heat if required.

Have fun on the new toy then Mad. Talking of 40mph winds here today so pleased we went out yesterday and enjoyed it while we could.  Next few days shows rain and more rain!  Yuk!!!!!

You know what Chris those that get a hard Time from the police generally deserve it or bring it on themselves.

Whether it be stopped by a copper, in the pub, at work or in a shop everyone deserves the same courtesy and consideration. Motorists just bring it on themselves.

I was stopped by a police biker when I was riding into 3 figures when I was late for a finals exam at uni - had studied late into the night, overslept and very very late.

He caught up with me at the uni entrance.

He was pretty red faced due to my speed but I calmly took the lid off, was dressed in full leathers and I surrender my licence before he said anything. I let him rip a strip off me before I was asked to explain myself.

I calmly told him the score.

Immediately he grinned, said he wouldn't make me any later, gave me the minimum 94mph 3 points and wished me good luck.

That's good policing in my view.
