Brands for OEM parts FL 230 VRS

Featured Replies

Hi all

I'm looking for the correct brand names or even part numbers on a few essential items.

So when the time comes for its service and replacing parts, I want to replace like for like, so it's in original spec condition.

I am after brand info on the following:

  1. Oil filter
  2. Oil type
  3. Battery
  4. Wipers
  5. Lamps/globes

Thanks!

I would think the Engine parts etc will be the same as the pre Facelift.

Just buy your parts from a Skoda dealer, you'll know they are genuine then.

Thought it would be handy to know what is factory branded in case the parts can be sourced elsewhere.

Good for knowldge and piece of mind too.

Thanks for your replies so far guys.

Factory's change parts suppliers all the time....especially on cheap consumables such as those you list...

Filters Mahle, or Fram I think?

Oil type, best to use Castrol, Mobil or Millers IMHO....BUT more important is correct spec for car eg VAG number...

Battery, errrr...factory skimp....on size & use their own rating in standard cases to confuse people...Bosch which is Varta are the best & their AGM batteries are the best which I use, all of the shelf in any store.

Wipers?...really??..the OEM ones on the MK7 Golf are rubbish....Bosch Aero are the best....from halfrouds or online..
