  • buy the car and we will talk about it

  • I received my OBD11 earlier this week and have managed to implement some nice changes including: Traffic sign recognition, auto high beam (light assist), mirror dip, acoustic confirmation of lock

  • Well, as we're leaving the EU thats not going to be a problem is it??      When I collect mine I will insist it's activated.

Did anyone activate the traffic sign recognition display or the High Beam Assist?

Regarding the HBA, how do you set it to On if you don't have this option on the lights lever?

I tried Traffic signs recognition - TSR. I have Amundsen and Virtual Cockpit. I could get TSR working only in non-fussed mode, which means only camera recognised signs are displayed. Fussion mode should allow to use both satnav speed limits data and recognised signs and to fuse them so most relevant is shown e.g. if no recognised signs then satnav speed limit is used and if some signs are recognised they are shown over satnav data or so. In that camera only mode, satnav data is not showing neither in dashboard nor in navi display and also recognised signs are very unreliable and missleading as camera us not aware of limit ends on crossroads or city limits etc

If fused mode is selected, error shows in dashboard that there is no data available in the area. According to some posts, that means there is no speed or signs data for particular country. But on other forums I found that it so may be something wrong with Amundsen to dashboard communication so satnav data - which exists in maps and are visible if no traffic signs recognition is enabled - are not available to fussion or something like that.

So I had no conclusive answer for why it is not working. Unsupported country or not proper coding for new cars with Amundsen...

Again it would be helpful if someone with Amundsen (and Virtual Cockpit preferably for me but Maxi Dot would also be Ok) who also has Travel Assist (Dynamic Road Signs Recognition as it appears in Car Assistants many in infotainment) can share his Codings...

As with Mirror Dipping, when have to recheck all these Codings out there as it looks like some things got changed in MY19 builds.

But are you doing a retrofit?

No, my Karoq Style does not have a coded rain sensor.

I'm a bit confused.

You do have the sensor installed, does it work? Our it's not working as it should?

If the car has got automatic wiping then rain closing can be coded. The car doesn't have sunroof

What did you active?

There are two presider.

This is for a Golf 7, confirm that it is the same.

  1. Go to [09] Central Electronics
  2. Go to Secuity Access and enter 31347
  3. Go to adaptation channels and set the following:
  4. - (15) Access Control 2 - Regenschliessen_ein aus (Rain Closing on / off) - Select Active
  5. - (16) Access Control 2 - Regenschliessen_art (Rain closing Type) set to Permanent
  6. - (28) Access Control 2 - Menuesteuerung Regenschliessen (Menu Control Rain close) – Set to Active (enables the menu in the ifotainment screen)

  1. 9 Central Electronics
  2. Rain and light sensor
  3. Byte 0…Enable Bit 2 “Regenschliessen aktiv”. (rain closing active)
  4. Bit 1 should be active too….Regenlicht aktiv (rain light active)

Irfant, have you tested? Does it work on yours? Did you use the coding that I suggested?

Not tested the coding.

PS: Rain closing works fine. Tested on rainy day, also water sprayed from a bottlle triggers closing...

Hi guys I report here my experience for activations with OBDeleven PRO on Karoq 1.6 TDI DSG of 09/2018

Successful activations with pre-packaged APPs:

- Comfort turn signals (flashing arrows from 3 to 5)
- Enable fan level display when on the car (climate fan speed indicators in automatic mode)
- Seat belt warning (disable safety belts sound or change in a few beeps and that's it)
- Refuel quantity in dashboard (enables the function of the quantity liters of fuel to reach the full)
- Gauge Test-needle sweep (test hands at each ignition)
- Discover engineering menu (ability a hidden touch menu full of features, tests and stuff to be activated but sincerely not
   I touched nothing)

There are other apps to see if they are activated but for the moment I stopped here because I do not feel the need.

Programming with the ODBeleven PRO version:

- Light assist (high beam lights in automatic)
- Off Road (displays 5 parameters equal to those with 4x4, Altimeter, Compass, wheel steering angle, water temp and oil temp)

Programming at the moment is unsuccessful and I do not know why because there are so many:

- Lane assist
- Lower right rear view mirror reversing

If someone needs information, just ask and instead who has the activations of the lane assist contact me in private.

Thank you

I do not think much changes between executive and style, the changes can be made only if they have the appropriate control units and the necessary hardware, like, to activate the light assist or lane assist you have to have the camera behind the rearview mirror and with it the active road sign option.

Yes I have.

Camera behind the rearview mirror and with it the active road sign option.

Hi, just got my Karoq 1.5 SEL TSI DSG last Friday, ordered OBDEleven Pro  arriving 2/5 days, will be using adaptions, have you got coding for the Light assist (high beam lights in automatic) & Lower right rear view mirror reversing (left for UK). Many thanks.

Road Signs Recognition works? Which country you are in? I ask as looks like in some countries it is not possible to activate Road Signs (you can activate them but they don't work combined with sat back data). So I'm trying to collect experiences and figure out what is going on.

Il riconoscimento dei segnali stradali funziona? In quale paese ti trovi?
