going in tomorrow to give our reg document in so he can organise number plate change .

Happy for you. Told on Tuesday that my SE L had reached Emden.....ordered it on 19 Jan. Lottery doesn't begin to describe it.

Think it's down to knowing that I have bought from mainland skoda dealer before and wants to keep our business on the island ..

didnt think it it would be ready yet but he was confident on approx date even when placing the order , so I Guess its region allocated so many confirmed to ensure spread of vehicles around the country ( but that's just  my opinion rather than fact)

My car was also ordered in January, and how it cheers me up to read that even more customers are receiving identical specification cars before me, despite having ordered theirs two months later than me in March.

This confirms what I have suspected for a long time - that those in Production Planning at Skoda are “educationally challenged”. I have been fortunate enough in my time to have had very many new cars but have never exoerienced anything like this before. Maybe those jokes that comedians used to make about Skoda in the 80s/90s were right all along ....  after all they are a joke.

Had confirmation today that my car should be built next week. BW 23. Was unconfirmed BW 20 then confirmed BW23. Fingers crossed that the fact it has now moved to confirmed status does in fact mean it will leave production line st the end of next week!

Ordered 21st March

I have long believed that not all dealers are created equal, meaning that there is a pecking order within the dealership network with some getting a better allocation of cars both for stock and to order.

Mine is a PCH order so although I signed the paperwork in a dealer and will probably collect unless I can get a home delivery instead of the dealership it is a VAG UK car so dealer quotas shouldn't apply if in fact such a thing exists.

My old Skoda dealer has clearly indicated to me, in the past, that there were allocations. When I talked to him before buying my Subaru XV he again mentioned that they had ordered their allocation of stock cars and had run out of the current allocation of customer orders for the current period.

I remember we ordered the same weekend, but mine being bw 21 and no updates last week so will check this week coming. To think we have almost a similar car yet and ordered the same time, my order is almost a month behind you.

Hopefully your be driving your new motor very soon

I know Marcus, it seems to be such a lottery with build times , maybe we need some sort of spreadsheet to show lead times by  region ?

give them a call you might get some good news .

I ordered my Skoda Karoq SE L DSG at the end of January, got told I would have it early May and then they told me June. The service has been rubbish, had a phone call a few weeks ago telling me it was on the ship on the way, then I rang a week after for updates and they told me it hadn’t left yet! Apparently it’s on the EMS HIGHWAY so hopefully will have it soon but not getting my hopes high! My first car aswell! So frustrating

EMS Highway is in Zebrugge at the moment just about to set off for Malmo. It was in Grimsby prior to that. Hope there are no more delays for you.

There are allocations, based on volume handled in past.  Don’t know details but dealers seem to reach a maximum, then seem to have to await new period to order, or for order to be processed.

There are also naughty sales people who have reached their bonus target for the month, and write out the order, but stick it in a drawer, and don’t enter it until following month.   If you pop in to see dealer, ask for print out of order (or view it on screen), and check date.   If input is delayed, give a devil stare, and ask for compensation.

I’m in the UK so hopefully if they weren’t lying my car is here too! I contacted Skoda Live Chat after the ship had arrived and they said my car was still on the way so just never know what to believe. Also, thank you :)

I spoke with a lease company today about ordering a Karoq but they told me the Skoda factory have stopped taking orders until the engines are brought in line with new fuel/emission standards?

The Skoda dealership I visited mentioned nothing of this.

which spec, engine size, fuel type and gearbox ?

i Lease from VWFS -- any dealer should be able to set up a lease deal through skoda themselves  P.C.H in other words.

Just finished live chat with Skoda and confirmed that my car is now en route to Emden having been built last week so no delays at the end of production waiting on Varioflex or alcantara thankfully. Not sure why some orders are being held up for this reason and others aren’t!

I placed an order for 1.5L SEL DSG Box in Petrol Blue with no extras on Feb 28th, with quoted delivery June. Dealer has emailed every month with updates. If I recall was build week 20. Collecting Tomorrow. Can't wait. Seems my order went as  planned. Let's see if handover as good. Am doing a lease this time through main dealer & VW, and they stuck with agreed contract rate from Feb.

Update on my car - ordered 6th April and arrived UK 2nd June which is just under 8 weeks. I guess a couple of weeks to deliver to dealer. Original dealer estimate was 20th June.

1.5 SE, Energy Blue, Varioflex seats

Ordered the SE L 1.5 TSI DSG this weekend (2nd June) - Est. Delivery is December 2018 :crying:
