fair analyses, however I would say that service pack still provides good value to mitigate expensive servicing and like any cars there are ****ers that spoil our reputation. I think when people say BMW's are expensive to repair is not true, based on our exprince for example with Ford Fiesta.

 

On paper Karoq looks reasonable to service but I don't know about repairs yet

I thought I had bought a quality car 12 years ago when I got a brand new C320 Mercedes estate. It turned out to be one of the biggest loads of expensive rubbish I have ever owned. By contrast, my last Skoda was probably the best car I have ever had. I had 2 previous Mercs, but they were built before the accountants took over. Servicing was ok then as well, but when all the local dealers were closed down and the business was moved to a s****y glass palace, the cost of my servicing trebled. In those days if you went to a non-authorised dealer your warranty was invalidated, but if I had known the car would only start going wrong within weeks of the warranty ending I would have used  a non-authorised repair shop instead for services. Repairs were always very expensive and even when I found a repair shop that specialised in Mercs, often the parts were not available to anybody but an authorised dealership. You pay for the name, but it doesn't necessarily mean it will be worth it.

I like them. Easily deleted with a bit of electrical tape.

Wonder if you could put a different word or picture in there?

I think they have a little silhouette disk which slides in front of the light to make the logo. Will have to investigate if that can just be popped out, leaving a blank light.

Bookmarked that. But I do  think the best deterrent for our new car will be the big round thing on the bonnet. And I'm a big fan of Skoda. This will be our third.

 

I suppose even the thick scrotes will eventually wise up to the marque.

Is there a functional benefit ? I assume it's for sound insulation when travelling with the windows open ? I can't remember the last time I did that. Probably in the 80's ;-)

I like to drop the window when parked for a bit of fresh air so stops rain and direct blasts of air 

It makes sense. I have to say that reliance on AC is actually not very clever from a health point of view.

It’s a bit like sun roofs all the top models had them and not even glass and now do we really use them

They look pretty good.  Never had them before, do they reduce the wind noise on the motorway?  I found it fairly noisy when I went out recently in the Karoq.
