Cool I'll give that a shot tomorrow.

It's almost like the signal isn't strong enough or needs some kind of boost. Weird but will settle for the settings being saved. Cheers

When I installed a double din in mine I bought a booster like this one on eBay (this isn’t the one you need, but looked exactly like this)

eBay number: 260743025573

Yeah not keep the settings would be a pain. My radio signal is fine so maybe an issue with your aerial?

I did wonder if I needed something like that. Getting it to keep settings is number 1 on the list then tackle the station crackling.

Gonna try the red/yellow swap shortly

I had loads of radio intereference when I swapped over to the VW set up. For me it turned out to be a break in the lead (centre wire) just where the connector plug started on the end of the lead. So just double check that as well, its only a really thin / fine wire and if you bend it too much it can break.

Hey bud, you're a hero! Swapped the wires over and bang it works and holds the settings! Happy days.

As for the aerial, the thin wire looks like it's ok but I'll leave it be until it annoys me. Not a big fan of radio anyway lol

You may not need one at all, it really depends what you buy.

Oh that sounds interesting. I’m thinking of buying this: https://www.pioneer-car.eu/eur/products/avh-z7100dab

Would you know if it would be required?

Thanks

Dave

I would imagine it comes with a loom adapter, it wouldn't be much use without it.

I got this from argos. Nice and easy to fit and works seamlessly with my phone using Spotify.

Hey, what does the red switch do... I wanted to install spot lights/ Fog lamps onto my Mk1 Skoda and was thinking to setup the blank buttons to turn it on.

looks like that will be the end result
