For the remus +- 2000 euro.
Turbo inlet/outlet +-400
VWR600 +-500
DV+ +-200

The Brakes are awesome ! good pedel feel, and no fading. it was a slow lap to get to know the car on the track so maybe +- 160 a 170 KPH :)

Wow that exhaust was expensive. Is the VWR600 the air box replacement? Goodridge or similar stainless brake lines plus DOT 5.1 motorsport spec brake fluid would give a completely fade free braking system if you plan to do more track days.

The VWR 600 is indeed a air box placement (best on the market). Thanks for the tip ! :)

Last 1,600 miles car been super economical. Last 10 commutes including 140 roundabouts given this on indicated half a tank. Long term average upto 41.3mpg compared to 39.3mpg for the first 10,000 miles.

APR has released a remap for the 245 and Golf PP.  Not sure if it's the same 2.0 tsi map or one that is specifically for the 245 .

Top speed 169mph

0-62 - 5.5 seconds

It's in German but the description is below.  For anybody thinking of taking the jump.

IT'S UP! Here is the long - awaited Videolog 7 and thus the launch of the software for the Golf 7 GTI facelift performance and the Octavia RS245. As a nice saying says: What lasts long is good at last. And it is definitely good. We can achieve over 300 hp without hardware adjustments up to 500 nM torque. Our Videolog 7 also shows that additional hardware brings in Stage 1 its benefits. So drives our own RS245 now with strong 330 hp. This also drastically reduces the times from 100 to 200. We are ready for the Stage 1, Stage 2 and of course for the popular IS38 upgrade. Opinions? No problem! Are you fueling a special fuel? Also not an issue. We offer you 95/98 and also 102 Octan polls. And that does not stop the good news. You had to wait a long time and we want to honor that! And so we will give you a whopping 15% discount for all RS245 and GTI Performance Facelift customers by the end of August to celebrate the market launch. Have fun with our video. We look forward to seeing you! Power dates! It starts!

has anyone tried to fit/modify the 8 piston brake calipers from audi RS?

First decent trip since March down to East London, saw 53.5mpg on the M1 but M25 was like a car park so journey took 4 hours. Averaged 48.5mpg going there, return less traffic higher average speed and average was 48.3mpg. Trip was 267 miles at 48.4mpg.

Why would you want an upgrade with such superb standard set up?

coming from a 4 pot, i feel the stock 1 pot has little "feel", also just wondering if it is possible.

Hi Muzza 2 questions for you did you weigh the extremes and compare the weight difference with the McLaren wheels you have fitted now and roughly how much did the uprated braking components cost. Looking to do the braided lines and DOT 5.1 fluid myself soon. Thanks in advance.B)

Managed a personal best on todays commute of 50.4MPG now mileage is 12,093 approaching it's first birthday in 11 days time.

They’ve  been using the same brakes on S3/R32 for years, they’re really nothing special.

Whilst they’re fine for a standard car I find them lacking in feel and power running circa 300bhp, they show their limits pretty quickly I’ve found, they overheat and fade pretty quickly when pushed.   With more power and some track time  planned they were a must do upgrade.

Just fitted some 6 pots with 356mm floating rotors, braided lines, Dot 5.1 fluid and RS3 brake ducts today to my 245.    The improvement is immediate, even when just bedding them in this evening on street pads, I also have some track pads that I’ll be testing at knockhill in the next few weeks.

The calipers are a full 4kg (4.8 vs 8.8) lighter than the standard one and the discs are 1.5kg each, that’s a fair saving too!

Sounds like a nice reduction in unsprung weight. Can you notice the difference when driving?  Also do those brakes fit under 19" Extremes?

The forged wheels are incredibly light @ 8.5 (or 8.9, can’t remember) kg each, something like 5kg lighter per wheel than the extremes, they’re actually the “super lightweight” optional wheel for the 570s so really we’re a fantastic bargain find, I’m buggered if I ever need to replace one though!!

So between the wheels and brakes I’ve shed a massive amount of unsprung and rotating mass, the front of the car feels so much more nimble and direct (not that it felt bad to start with).

The full BBK cost me £1300 with everything included, two sets of pads too although that was a haggled price in return for posting feedback and reviews on the various forums and groups.   I think the kit price is normally $1999 shipped with one set of pads?      The ducts are from aks tuning and were about £40.

Juan, you’d need 20mm spacers I’d imagine but I’ll try an extreme and let you know mate.

Thanks for answering Juan's and my questions. Might have to visit AKS for those RS3 brake ducts at that price!

Last 5 tanks 2,062 miles, 220.88 litres, 48.58 gallons @42.45MPG. Just done 426 miles on 42.10 litres, 9.26 gallons @46.00MPG.

Know that feeling unfortunately on first name terms with local wheel refurbisher!

Looks like a chunk of tyre is also missing

Correct.

Should be ok though. It's only a tiny piece missing.

Dunno what your moaning about, my misses has done all 4, I make her pay with her Gary. Guess she must like cos her parking ain't Fn improved, AT ALL

Very distressing image. Hope you have coached your missus after this unforgivable event.

My wife has driven my car only twice. I bought her a Mitsubishi ASX to mistreat - made sure they were big enough so she never needed to borrow mine

So I buy the wife a nice new car with reversing camera and rear parking sensors and she does this!

^^^ That parking is shambolic considering she has sensors AND a camera! Maybe she's using her sense of touch seeing as sight and hearing aren't functioning!

For God's sake, don't get her a tow bar fitted!
