Hope your phone/camera was still there when you returned. My Milltek is so quiet wife doesn't realise it's been changed.

Sound was good and that was the main part in the video, for me anyway.

Agree sounded suitably RORTY and SPORTY.

So first tank on stage 2 tune and range now 470 miles on tankful. This is a 4% reduction in fuel consumption compared to 450 mile average at stage 1  Standard spec gave 400 miles per tank so stage 1 improved economy by 12% over 7,000 miles. Seems hard to believe but smaller throttle applications getting upto and maintaining speed (70% motorway cruising) do seem to have a positive reduction in fuel consumption for me at least with my particular commute to work. As usual will update over many tanks to confirm this.

I've just tidied a few comments up. Please stick to the relevant topic. Thanks all!

Hi All,  change of topic!

Had my 245 since May and love it to bits.  You will all laugh or call me a numbty but I havent had a car that accelerates as fast as it does since I had a Supra back in 2000!

When I floor it sometimes I forget what gear im in as its so swift! I then look a numbty trying to work it out!  (Yep id be ****e as a racing driver)

Im sure its just me on this and if so I will try harder or get me coat!

That's why I got the DSG, now I don't NEED to know

Now the dark nights are here, I’m using he headlights for the first time since getting the car. They dont seem to be dynamic like my MY15 vRS i.e. they don’t turn with the car at low speed. Is this normal?

Light switch needs to be in Auto and they bend even more in Sport mode

Fun fact
Got my car vRS 245 DSG 3 weeks ago. No electrical controlled seats.
What happened was that my dealer put in an order for a MY18 car. But since the new engine emission is active after Sep 1:st the factory changed it to a MY19.

So I got my car without electrical seats since they are optional on MY19.

Have these seat on my quote on the car, my dealers spec say the same to the factory.

Now Skoda needs to build me a new car since they can't fit electrical controlled seat in as a aftermarket piece of equipment.

So I get 2 new cars for the price of 1

Yes, the facelift headlights don't turn like the old ones did. The beam pattern changes depending on speed and environment and the fog lights turn on for cornering but there is no dynamic turning anymore.

When you switch the ignition on the headlights move up and down, is this self levelling?

Yes, that's the self levelling system running through its check sequence on startup. If for any reason it were to find a fault, it would set the lights to the lowest position and give an error on the dash.

This is separate from the system it uses to change the beam pattern as part of the adaptive LEDs.

Shame. I liked the dancing lights!

On the topic of the lights, is it just me or does the range of the lights seem rather short? I feel like I could do with a control to lift the angle to get more distance like i have had in previous cars. Or am I missing something?

My fogs do not light up as cornering lights. Is there a vehicle setting for this or requires vagcom?

Do you have a 245? It should be enabled as standard. They're not brilliant though, they're pretty much only useful doing sub 15mph maneuvering as the range is so short.

Not yet mate, no.

Hence why I didn’t post it.

Suggested figures are around 300bhp and torque up from 350nm to 440nm.

I’m planning on getting it booked it for a dyno session very soon.

Do you really use the car as a Taxi?

I do mate, yes.

I own the company though :-)

if you zoom in on the taxi plate you will see it has the registration number of that vehicle on it.

Was advised against going for 245 tyres on a 20"rim by my local wheel specialist. He said not even a Golf owner would try this combo due to fouling.:blink:Plenty of grip from 8.5J with 235/35R19 tyre due to the increased track front and rear and no need for spacers either.

Cheers.

I am about to order some bronze JR25's for my black 245 estate.

They only offer 8,5x20" 5x112 ET40 with 235/30's and 8,5x19" 5x112 ET40 with 235/35's. Still debating on 19'" vs 20". None of my local dealers sell them, so I need to order online. Would be nice to know if they will slot right on or not.

The xtremes are ET51 which gives me some concerns about ET40.
