Lol, I got just over 20mpg on a solo trip the other day in sport mode, seems on par with certain other 245s who publish mpg figures and get on with it a bit. Mine isn't even run in yet.

I DON'T MIND. No I'm still under 16k mate.

Hmmm. Car feels limp, lifeless, gutless & terrible oh yeah, just removed my tuningbox to send it away for upgrade.

Gotta feel sorry for anyone driving a stock car, this ain't good but on the upside, it's only temporary.

You don't miss what you've never had.   ;)

Here here, for all the super speed freaks that's great!

For me the power of the 245 is more than enough for me.  I have to be careful most days that I don't loose my licence!  (Not that I am driving unsafely)

Its just the power I have on tap (as standard) is way above my last car and for me personally, the perfect amount :-)

Can I join the club now?

If it's Black Magic you'll need to drive around with the cover on so the dirt doesn't show.............

Looks like it's Meteor Grey. :tongueout:

Much rather hear about people getting cars then moans about availability!

What's the interior trim on the MY19? Is it piano black like the MY18 245 or "carbon fibre" like the MY18 230?

Now I'm home it's gone dark so I only have a single picture taken outside the dealers.

I'll get some better ones after it's been detailed

Even dirt doesn't stick to Battleship Grey because it is invisible to everything in the known Universe.:@

These new ones come with special wing mirrors that make your hands dirty when you fold them manually.

Hi guys,

so ive had my 245 for a couple of weeks and loving it! I was originally looking for a highly spec’d 230estate however my local dealership offered me a deal on a new 245, without their knowledge  the 245 had changed to the My19 so the basic spec was not what I was after so refused delivery and made them purchase this one from a dealership up north.

So my car is 15 months old today and enjoying it more than ever with 16,740 miles under it's wheels. About 2 months until the first service and winter wheels going on next Monday until at least April 2019. Must share a funny moment yesterday whilst doing a 3 point turn in the road near where I live popped it into 1st gear and thought it felt a bit sluggish until I looked at the gear indicator and realised I had pulled away in 3rd gear by mistake. This illustrates how insanely torquey this car is with 350lb/ft at 2,000revs. Amazingly no vibration or juddering either and only about 1,200 revs used.:blush

A quick scrub down before a trip to the shops today...

So out at the weekend for another longer drive of my car still loving it. Despite what I might call driving like a granny (comparatively) I still can't crack that 40mpg mark for a given trip. :) I got 39.4 mpg going out (in no hurry and being told to take my time by my wife) and 38.2 coming back. Most of the trip was dual carridgeway NSL stuff. Coming back was more normal driving without trying so hard. Using 'normal' mode too and letting the DSG do its thing itself. Car is sitting on around 330miles now.

The temptation to unleash the car is strong but I'll just do that myself of course and not with the family in the car. I might have done that Sunday morning alone after I loaded 70Gb of tunes onto a SD card for the spare slot and then headed out for a quick trip in Sport mode :)
