I see. Did you not want to keep it??

TBH it was cheaper to lease a new Kodiaq than try and keep and finance a 3 year old car which is now out of warranty.. growing family means more space required..

I see... how did you get on with the Superb?? Currently trying to locate one to buy. Test drove one yesterday and a Octavia VRS. VRS was nice but too harsh for my poorly spine. Superb was lush, unfortunately has a poor SMART repair down the drivers side.

Superb has been fantastic and hasn't put a foot wrong in 3 years and 37k... The buy back was £17,320.. which I suppose isn't bad.. but 3 growing kids means more space.. so a Kodiaq has replaced it.. In 37k it has had 2 oil changes, a set of front tyres and a set of rear pads.. in once to have the start button replaced, but that's it.. literally a superb car..

I had wanted a VRS when I was looking, drove both but the superb is a massive jump in equipment.. auto handbrake, adaptive cruise, kessy.. 9.2 columbus..

Looks great and I do like the mandatory Bunnings carport pic lol.

Is that a star wars sticker on the lower sill ?

That's a Chinese character (or Japanese Kanji, basically the same thing) '赤', which means red. And obviously, my car is red.

No, 220bhp.. Well specced too.. It was basically Sportline Plus spec.  I got it with 9.2 Columbus, front sensors, heated seats, electric boot and spare wheel. Added a detachable towbar too.. It's gone and all now..

Fella said it would be in the auctions next week and the dealers would go mad for it.. Will keep an eye out and see what it goes for sale for..

These are stock 19*8J Rims?  Is that pic with the 15mm spacer in the front?  Weird that your rears poked more with the 15mm spacers.  My sportline has about 12-15mm to give on the front and about 20-22mm to give on the rears before flush with the guards.   This is with 19" stock vega wheels (19*8 ET44).

Yup, they r the 19" Phoenix/Trinity rims, ET44.

15mm hubcentric spacers front & rear.

Car is lowered 20mm.

Had no issues with 235 tyres and the 15mm spacers on the rear, but the same setup with the wider 245 tyres scrubs (where the rear bumper joins the rear qtr panel) every so lightly.

The poke was also a bit too much to my liking, so I've now removed the rear spacers.

No more scrubbing.

Broke it.

No idea what's up it was fine the other day. Parked up, pulled off last night, odd squeaking, followed by a grind/grating on right hand turns. Idle she's fine, revs out of gear fine, drive squeak, off throttle coast, corner right/left while coasting fine... all fine. On throttle squeak. Honestly it sounds like a clutch squeal, or belt slippage, it changes, but DSG box... that or a stone. The alarming one is the slightly mechanical sound on right hand turns... the squeaking on throttle... decidedly  mechanical... so I wait till next wed to find out. They did say I was covered by recovery so driving was fine... definitely a glass half full chap on the phone. I was seeing a wheel bearing fail and I plough straight on before I saw the inside of a recovery vehicle.

It will turn out to be a errant leaf, held in by a pigeon poop. If it is this it's done 2hours and over 50miles of white/dark peak bumps and boots :D

1. I sourced this high mileage 67plate Greenline

Capture.thumb.JPG.9f52d953acae18d0240cb30c18ddc63b.JPG

2. It had a horrible shiny bumper guard, chins on the number plates and the factory standard lettering & badges (the emergency triangle was mine already)

NB Greenlines always ship with a spare wheel kit (that needs to be gone ASAP as the foam insert suits my usage better)

4. Replaced the bumper protector with a black plastic one, and fitted nicer looking (legal) plates

5. Judicious hairdryer treatment, leverage from a sacrificial wooden spatula and subsequent 100% alcohol clean up removed all the badges

6. Far nicer Monte Carlo style letters installed, I kept the 2017 Greenline badge as it was the black edition already  - that GB is a mag sticker BTW

7. The new (chinless) number plates are an improvement, and the bonnet emblem completes the look

Yes. Quality is 100% far better than any others I've seen. It's a remade OEM part, and the paint matches exactly too.

I listed my shopping list from them in an earlier reply ^
