We tried pushing but couldn't shift it. I should have known better than to drive on to the soft grass in the first place really; I saw our neighbour's wheel tracks and assumed they'd been driving in and out without problems when, in fact, they'd had to be towed out too.

Serviced and MOT'd today. 6 years old and 30k miles with a few advisories carried over from last year (rear pads, front shock misting and corroded front springs) plus a new one for front disc wear.

 

About to be taxed for another year so altogether that's £560 out of my wallet this morning 😬

Thank you. Yes front splitter done, and sidekicks and red calipers will finish it off.

Well that’s the first part of the canton retrofit done in the rain. I’ll save the interior strip out for a drier day.

I’ll do my best to take as many pictures and write a guide as I go. Not that i think anyone else would be crazy enough to carry this out.

Some more content from the Canton retrofit, this wind and rain is hampering efforts.

 

Subwoofer fitted and wiring ran for the subwoofer and offside door wiring. 
also ran my blind spot assist wiring whilst I was here

Thanks for the progress report, keep it up, it's great! 

Well finally all the wires are ran, all the NS speakers are fitted, looms modified, dash speaker, subwoofer and everything else fitted. Component protection removed, dataset corrected, all coding done, speakers are working and no fault codes - except the OS speakers still to fit and os loom to modify. 

 

All using genuine wire colours, correct sizes, oem parts and all fitted as if it left the factory with Canton.

 

Just got to get a hold of a pair of front canton door cards with the swede material.

Wow! Kudos to you for the effort but for me, I'd have to just go and buy a car with the upgrades inbuilt, otherwise were I to try it, I'd end up the sound system moving my seat or nothing working at all!

Cracking Job, a real PITA retrofit that one... Do you understand exactly what's needed on the coding front to code this properly? I can help you there.

All coded, dataset done, coding was fairly simple on that front.

 

if you wanted to share your sound system long coding it wouldn’t harm to compare the 2 though I suppose?

Yeah, it’s a bit annoying that it disappeared.

 

Where did you get it from? 

 

Bought a used one from auction portal.

Is all the wiring etc required still there in the mirror housing then with them now de specking this?
