missed her so much
 

now sporting some decent bodywork, new oem wing, front grill & original green badges, standard back bumper, only has a couple of small dinks I’ll get sorted 

 

Would you believe found a local guy breaking a fgf, 

 

not only that his dads got a gmc c1500 same shape as mine ha, small world.

 

fitted the mirrors and some original design Skoda badges to alloys to go with The rest on the car. 

Hi Trevor, just re read your build thread and was pretty surprised you have got the car back, I cant say I have seen many in that shade, looks really tidy.

Looking forwards to the next instalment.

I'm too busy sunbathing at the moment to do a proper search but it was only a few years ago when (IIRC) any and every FGF was hoovered up by BossFox.

Where did you get the door trims? Were they from the dealer or are they for sale on eBay?

I’ve got a big scrappy local, just picked them off a late Fabia mk1 £6 for four bargain

Its small pieces like door trims that can make or break a car. Next time I find myself at a scrapyard I'll have to keep these in mind.

Had a spare inlet manifold and rocker cover, so cleaned them up and sprayed them hammered black, they came out really nice. There Going to be fitted with a new south inlet manifold gasket, new rocker cover/throttle body gasket. And a new thermostat while the manifolds off. Also got some new plugs and coil packs coming.

Looking as if there is a small area on one of the same trims on mine, always enjoyed looking around scrap yards in my youth (feels like before time began now) finding bits for my first car, got a dash vent out of a fabia to replace a broken one last year ,can't beat recycling and yes they were a bargain.

New thermostat in, and inlet and rocker fitted, just waiting on throttle body gasket, new plugs and coil packs 

New coils arrived, gone for 2.0tfsi ones and adapters again. 
just waiting on better weather to finish her off 

Quality read this, would love to do something similar in future. Wiring gives me the fear though! Great job
