JR RS,

Any chance of a close up picture of the wheels / brakes to see what the spacers look like.

More so to see how they look sandwiched between the wheel and rotor hat.

What a nice stance though...

Thank u 🙂

Pics as requested.  To the untrained eye, u'll not notice it's there, and that too only if u actually look closeup between the spokes.

I've got black spacers up front and silver/alloy ones at the rear.

My spacers have become one with the Pretorias, literally. No idea whether the power-coating made the spacers "glue" on the alloys so hard but I have given up on trying to remove them as it effectively makes the installation so much easier, no more free rotating and trying to aling them when changing wheels, just an alloy with a 10mm greater offset! 😄

Spacers arrived yesterday, here's what they look like on standard sportline suspension.

Another "must do" mod on this car (or even better some lightweight alloys with smaller offset - two birds with one shot).

Looks so much better and 100% OEM still 👍

What size spacers did you go for?

12 mm all round

Speaking of which, I am changing my alloys and the size options on the ones I'm after is either 8.5J ET37 or  8.5J ET45.  The former one equals to a 13.4mm spacer the latter to a 5.4mm one. The Superb definitely needs more than a 5mm spacer to look good but I had 10-12mm as a limit to not poke out too much.

I wonder if 13.4mm is a tad too far out? I wouldn't like anything over "flush" and I am not putting spacers again... Opinions on the 8.5J ET37??

I think 13.4mm will b fine n not stick out.

This is wat 15mm looks like.

Looking good, thanks JR!

Although with wheels pushed out as in the pic, lowering will be unavoidable...  This spring has costed me a lot already and it doesn't look as it's getting better any time soon... 😄

Your first picture explains nicely what I'm trying to avoid too. I have no issue at all with the Sportlines current ride height, all I'm interested in is firming up the suspension to remove some of the float in the corners and the bouncing over some bumps. I'd like it to be like our old VRS, firm, but still comfortable. Now if only we can find some front spacers.

Same for me, I'm not really bothered what it looks like, the less overtly sporty the better.

I'm thinking RARB plus uprated dampers, something like FSDs for mine. Any thoughts on dampers?

BTW how did your turbo replacement go? I read the saga on piston heads earlier (I'm presuming you use same name on both forums of course).

Finally bitten the bullet and ordered the Koni Special Actives for my 280 🤗 got a VAG specialist garage round the corner that will hopefully fit them for a reasonable cost!

Larkspeed had one full set in stock and I've heard of other companies with delays on them so figured I may as well get them in now.
