Kenwood SatNav upgrade GVN60 Octavia MkIII

Featured Replies

Hi again, I have finally got the TMC registered and operational on my recent Kenwood GVN60 Sat Nav upgrade to the Bolero (M1Bi) unit.   Everything appears to work - Thanks for your help people!

Having plugged in a VCDS cable to clear the ABS fault code due to Tyre Pressure Incident, I have found in the Information Electr. the following entries: -

Byte 3, bit 0-7      Binary 00000000

00 Navigation Function NOT active/installed (PR-7Q0) is selected in the drop down box,  and

Byte 24, Bit 2       Navigation Function active/installed (PR7UF) is not ticked

My question is should these be changed to reflect the presence of the GVN60 or are they for a head unit sucha as Columbus etc which have their own satnav etc?

Apologies for all these questions, but I am still learning about this Octy!

Cheers, Alan

Hi guys, I have answered my own questions!  There is no coding required according to both Kenwood and Skoda installation instructions.  I guess I should have persevered with my Internet searching!.  Another 'Problem' has cropped up, namely a fault code of 5634 in the MU-S-DER  041 0435 component.

This states "Control Head for Multimedia System, MEDIA Source Selection Button, B1291 F3 (009) - Unkown Error Elaboration"

Is this because the 'Media' button inow has two jobs, a short press to select Media and a 2 second press for the Sat Nav to operate?  Is this, therefore nothing to worry about?  Any thoughts please? Thanks Alan
