Two way window switch

Featured Replies

The one touch operation doesn't function on closing my front windows, only on opening. It's the same for driver and passenger side, so it seems strange they have both failed. I've done the usual reset by holding them down and up for five seconds, but still the same. It's a MK1 L+k with 4x electric windows. I had an almost exact same problem on a MK4 golf, and wondering if anyone else had this issue before going out and buying new switches.

Have you tried dusting the switches out with a compressor, or flushing the bejesus out of them with some contact cleaner?

The first-stage bit doesn't work on mine and I keep meaning to give it the same treatment.

Yep, tried that but still the same. I removed the rocker switch off the one that actually works, and there is a little plastic pin with a spring underneath that gives it the two way function. Weirdly, after putting it back, that one no longer works
