Mine is Ambudsen MIB 2 Unit.. Can someone recommend me firmware update?
Installed SW train version: MST2_EU_SK_ZR_PO359T
Installed SW MU version: 0359
Part number: 5000358648
Software version: H28.28.133_STD2Nav_EU

I am looking to upgrade to virtual cockpit on my Skoda Superb MK3 2017 and thinking of ways to display maps and someone advised me to upgrade to 480 but not sure if it involves any problems.

   During the installation there have been three failures, but it has continued and everything has gone well.

 

 

 

@pab567 Need your help with MIB2 Ambudsen STD FW upgrade. I currently have fw 359 and wish to upgrade to latest i.e 480 in the process getting error. Attaching my device details and error. I am planning to retrofit virtual cockpit on my superb mk3 2017 and need to be able to display maps but do not wish to upgrade my headunit. I downloaded fw from link provided in this video 

Going from SOp3 frimware (03xx) to SOP4 (04xx) is not a piece of cake. First you have to flash th eunit with patched swdownload and then flash with 04xx firmware with especially modified metainfo2.txt.

Any instructions on how to do this?

If you are fimilar with QNX and software reerse engineering then I believe you can do it.

Not really...I do have good knowledge of computers not this is a new territory for me 🙂

Press and hold down your menu button for about 10 seconds, locate Software Train value

I recently bought a 5L0035680E with firmware MST2_EU_SK_PQ_P0363T.  Unfortunately it has some errors (4 boot screen in a row, no sound, radio doesn't seem to work, NAV button doesn't work but MENU>Navigation does work)

 

I would like to reflash 0363 FW to see if that can fix it, however it does not appear to be available.

 

Is it possible to downgrade the FW on this unit to a version that is available?

Yes however you must have Developer Mode enabled first. Unfortunately, from your error description I beleive EMMC in your unit is faulty.

I have enabled developer mode in VCDS so all I need is a file to test it.  If it doesn't work then I'll know for sure.  Can I assume that replacement boards are not available for these like they were with the RNS510?

Also is there a way you can update all the DAB Radio logos in a single press, I can get them all on a SD Card from Skoda but have to select them one at a time for each station?

I cannot find SK PQ 369T on mibsolution.one, I'm currently trying to download PQ 353T and it has taken 4 hours so far, their server is terrible.

You can update to 0480

No idea on your logo's

Hi pab567, this stereo went faulty after MIB2toolbox was used to patch the SWaP file, MIB2toolbox showed an "unknown file size" error.  MIB2toolbox support suggested restoring the backup saved on SD card but there was no backup saved on SD card 😞

 

Unfortunately I cannot find any SK PQ 03xx firmware online, MIBsolution.one had an 0353 image but after several hours of downloading the file was corrupted. If you have any suggestions or links I'd really appreciate it.
