Amundsen MIB2 Firmware Update

Hi all

  • Can somebody let me know if there is a possibility to have firmware available with this hardware ? I meant to read that the newest version is 254 for this hardware, is this correct ? Where is this available ?
  • Also is it possible to activate Android Auto (and/or MirrorLink) by myself ? I have a working HEX-V2 CAN bus and did a little tweaks but don't know if it's possible to activate.

Thanks in advance.

I think the reason is that Google decided programmed that in their web app Google Photos when you do right-click -> "copy image"  you're copying a link, and not the actual image.

Good morning @pab567

Thank you for this very usefull topic about firmware update.

What firmware for my skoda yeti should you avise me ?

thank you in advance for helping me

@Hradlo - officially not possible, achievable under condition you find anywhere 03xx firmwar (I don't have it)

Others check you PMs. If nothing on PM then you already have lates FW for your unit.

Going from SOp3 frimware (03xx) to SOP4 (04xx) is not a piece of cake. First you have to flash th eunit with patched swdownload and then flash with 04xx firmware with especially modified metainfo2.txt.

Ok, I was able to successfully upgrade fw from 369T to 480T. Had issues the first time i realized SD card i was using was not class10. I attempted with a class 10 SD card and this time it worked.:) !

I've never used Carista but this is a pretty common occurrence as it'll happen after every firmware update. It might be worth contacting their support to see if it can be cleared with their tool.

That being said, it has zero impact on anything so it's completely safe to ignore :)

I was unable to try again for the last 2 weeks as I was away until this morning. But I can finally report that I am now upgraded to 369 and the #10 fuse and glovebox are back installed! Thanks for all your patience, especially Varoom. I got to the bottom of the reason the error happened and perhaps it may help someone else in the future. I unzipped (with 7-zip) from the download file to the freshly formatted sd card. But one needs to first unzip the downloaded zipped file to a directory in your download folder. Then copy the directory contents to the SD card. Unzipping directly to the sd card does not work.

I've had various issues as I get more used to the car with the reverse camera not always working and issues with android auto such as the latest I found when there is no option to press number when connected to an automated phone system. I opened a thread on these (below) and the conclusion was that my firmware need reflashing!

Have ye seen this before? Should I try a new flash of the same download as before

A software update won't enable CarPlay and Android Auto - they require an FEC (Feature Enabling Code) to enable them that is VIN specific, or there are companies that can enable them using a tool such as MIB Toolkit.

Hi,

looking to get the latest software for the attached.

Cheers

Hello again.

Every now and then I enter the forum to see if there is new firmware, the latest version is 480?

I take this opportunity to ask an offtopic question, I have downloaded the logos of stations in my country, I have saved it on the SD card but then it appears empty when I try to change the logo of a station.
