Hi,

My wife has an Octavia TDI MY 2016 with a Bolero unit.

Installed SW train Version: MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0359T

Installed SWMu version: 0359

Part Number: 5Q0035840b

Software version: H28.28.133_STD2Plus_EU

She wants to have Android Auto connected via USB cable, but this unit does not offer Smart Link connection.

Will upgrading SW to a higher version make Android Auto connection available?

Any other solution?

Ahoj, pomůže mi někdo? firmware 0245.. rad bych nahrál firmware 0480.. hledal jsem dlouho ale nikde jsem nenašel přesný návod na aktualizaci a nerad bych zničil radio... :-)

Personally, I wouldn't update an HW2 to firmware 04xx. The chance of damaging the device is high.

Hello,

I recently bought a 2017. Octavia MK3, and after reading a lot of threads on this forum I decided to upgrade an Amundsen firmware. Original FW was MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0363T, which I succesfully upgraded to MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0369T and everything was fine.

According to this thread and mib-helper page, it is possible to upgrade it to MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0480T, so why not?

I did it from toolbox, SWDL menu and the upgrade started fine. But after third reboot the unit bricked and screen doesn't power up any more. I tried to hold power and menu buttons for a longer time than 20 sec. but nothing.

VCDS can see the unit, but the screen doesn't show up.

Any help will be very appreciated, because I'm running out of ideas....

Thanks to the help of @Cairus my device is in fully working state again!

FW 0480 installed, everything OK )

Great man, always ready to help!

So it is possible with the B version he has?

Could you help me with the steps to do that? I am pretty technical

Thanks a lot for the time

For smartlink you have Patch the unit. Firmware 3 or 4 is Not the Problem

We’ve got a Yeti with an MIB STD2 PQ+ and it was running the MST2_EU_SK_PQ_P0245T firmware, but had an unsuccessful update to the 0253T firmware and is now in emergency download loop.

I understand it would need the original firmware on an SD, but can’t find it on MIB - can anyone help with that please?

Hello everyone,

I drive an Octavia 3 and would like to update my Bolero.

The part number is 5E0035842

Hardware 038

Software 0132

Can anyone help me find the update files?

Best regards

Hello everyone,

I’m trying to update the firmware of my unit, but I’m running into several issues when attempting to upgrade to a higher version.

Currently, I have:

  • Hardware: H24

  • Software: 0253

  • Unit: 5Q0035864A

I’ve attached a photo with the system information for reference.

I was able to install version 0253 without any problems, but when I try to upgrade to newer versions (such as 0366 or 0480), I get errors like “software too old” or the system doesn’t recognize the update package.

Does anyone know if there is a way to upgrade from this version on this unit?
Do I need to follow specific intermediate updates or unlock something beforehand?

Any help or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hello everyone,

I'm having multiple issues with my unit (not) connecting to the iPhone at all, or apps freezing. I suppose my software version is quite old.

Where can I get a firmware update? What is the latest firmware version?

Firmware 0363
