I have an 2016 Octavia and MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0359T installed on my unit and when i check mib-helper it shows me that i can update to MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0480T but when i tried to install the unit gives an error to say you cant install this. here are my head unit infos. What can i do ? , is there a wah to update to 4080t or should i update to MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0369T ?

 

I had the same issue with 0480T.

Apprently, there is a way to force the update but it's risky. I just updated to 0369T and called it a day. I didn't find any changes from 0359T.

I did update the maps, POI, and radio station logos

@techgenius it ALWAYS requires patching the unit (swdownload must be patched) which in your case (single SD unit) requires soldering (not possible via SD).

I am also looking at how to set up wireless android auto on my 2016 Scout.

Showing as MST2 so i belive i can get wireless ndroid auto via smart link?

My smartlink asks me to "contact my dealer" for a code.

Anyway around this?

I doubt it, my 2016 Amundsen doesn't have WiFi so I've had to add a CarPlay2Air plugged into the USB to get wireless CarPlay.

@ScleptzeR 5E0 919 605 J is just a dsiplay, what probably died is the glove box unit, pls post your VIN so I can help more.

@techgenius I have no idea, I use my own solutions, you have to google for it.

 

Answering wireless SmartLink (Android Auto, Apple CarPlay) - in MIB2 / MIB2.5 units it's possible but ONLY with the external third party adapter connected to USB.

Your unit is Amundsen MIB2 without DAB part number 5Q0035864A. It supports Android Auto and Apple Carplay however in your case it didn't work as it was not activated (option 9WC - Without "Multimedia" in vehicle).

 

Do you have any possibility to connect VCDS or any other diagnostics tool (OBD Eleven, ODIS, VC Tool) to check if there is a communication with 5F unit and what are the errors?

Hi.

 

If you have vcd or obdeleven go to 5F enter security code S12345 OK then in edit look for "confirmation" there you will see 4 numbers you will need to change using the calculator I will send you a link to. https://mib-helper.com/im-so-xory/

There you write the numbers and have new ones generated and write to the vcd with a space and confirm, then the unit tells you to start over (that means the unit reboots). After rebooting, remove all errors from 5f that appear due to the update log and you will never see these errors again because you have successfully verified the new code after installation.

 

If you want, I can update your unit to version 0480.

I followed the steps but is not changing the code..remains the old one..and it doesn`t ask me to reboot..doesn`t give errors but does not change the number. I did entered on security code, adaptation..the channel confirmation but doesn`t seems to work. Anyway I noticed that the collors of the display doesn`t look like normal..The update of the unit to 0480 could help? Thanks
