I successfully updated my Amundsen thanks to pab567.

The only difference I see is the that the temperature font in the upper right corner is slightly bigger since it was pretty tiny before.

It would be good if someone notices anything else so we can make a list of changes.

@pab567 thanks a lot for your fast answer. Do you know if there is any update for the bluetooth tool, to solve the issue, that while streaming music via bluetooth there is always a delay in the displayed song titel of one song ? Might be happening since the last update. Merci

The problem you described is commonly known but I have no idea if this is SW bug of the infotainment unit or phone.

Did some research with 3 phones, two of them identical and three different android-versions from Android 7 - 9. On my MIB2 all three phones have an delay of min. one songe via bluetooth.

Tested them all on my moms VW Polo Bolero , in which case all three phones are working without any delay. therefore it must be a bug of amundsen.

Hello. Please post the latest firmware on Amundsen MIB2
I have version 241 installed now. I would like to update it to the latest ..... if I’m not mistaken, the newest one is currently 252. Thanks

@ThePacer What is your mom's Bolero model number and SW version? I believe it ends with "B" or "C" and has SW version like 03xx or 04xx which would explain a lot as I have seen the same bug in MY16 VW and SEAT units. Unfortunately there is no newer software available for your unit so I cannot help.

@jenik6 check your PM.

@pab567 Just had a check,
Its  Partsnr. 3Q0035819, HW H11, Software 0135

Can a reflash of the current software help to solve the issue ?

No idea but I sent you link to download via PM

Merci, got it.

Here are the data from my radio MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0241T 0241 5Q0035874A You sent me version 0253T Should I update my radio, what features will become available to me? Will Smart Link work?

First of all - please don't shout, there's no need to use such a huge font size :)

Only features that were working with 0241 will work with any other software, including 0253, as they are controlled with FEC/SWaP codes, not with software version.

So I didn’t understand if it’s worth it to me to update my radio and how to turn it on Smart link?

Would anyone be able to tell me if there's an upgrade available for my system please? Thanks in advance.

Hello pab567

This is maps version (BTW: needs update too), not unit's firmware. Pls check unit's model number and SW version in menu SETTINGS then SYSTEM INFORMATION.

To turn SmartLink either contact your Skoda delaer or find someone who can hack the unit.

Despite what it says the Skoda Portal only tells about MAP updates, not firmware updates.

There were no software updates for the VIN. this is what it says?

I know that's what it says but it's misleading as it only offers map updates 🥴

So how, where to get software updates?

Most dealers will refuse to do software updates to the infotainment (because of risk of bricking) unless instructed by Skoda UK, so the only way is to ask around (there are several threads on here) and hope someone has an update plus instructions - that's how I got the update to my MIB1 Amundsen after the dealer refused to do the update even after I described to them I was experiencing the problem that the update was supposed to fix!

Okay - I will give you some background into how I did my Amunsden MIB2.5 system update recently.  The article is on Briskoda....

Its actually not the fact that your dealer will/will not do it, it comes down to cost and time.  The process is the same whether you have an MIB1, MIB2 or MIB2.5 system.

I beg to differ - even though I told Sparshatts exactly what the problem was and exactly what software version was available to fix it - they totally refused to even consider doing the update even when I offered to pay for the technicians time. The "adviser" even had the cheek to tell me the software version I mentioned didn't exist! - which I disproved by doing the update myself a couple of days later.

Wow. Im sorry to hear that.

Dealers are getting lax but I also suspect lack of skills in doing the upgrades and only the master technician probably knows how to do that.

Keep us posted on any resolution.

This happened in 2017, I did the update nearly 3 years ago.
