Briskoda Track Day

Featured Replies

Could someone bring a radar gun as well to allow single car straight runs at 'lunchtime' ?

Hmmm, anyone GOT a radar gun? lol

If not, my GPS is pretty easy to swap from car to car if anyone wants to do a speed run :)

My Impreza was doing a true 140 (148 indicated) when radar'ed last time there.

I could not quite match the Cerbera and 996 Turbo that were doing 178 though...;)

Any of them sound good really, though prefered choice would be Brunters for ease of access and run-off! :D

i *could* possibly get a radar gun.. :)

Bruntingthorpe really appeals to me being a track novice.

The straight looks good for those top speed runs! :)

Bruntingthorpe sounds good to me and the price is a bargain. just down the road from brum.

You werent in coventry (A45) the other week were you adaadams, just I saw and flashed at a red vRS on the A45, but they were too busy looking at the map (stopped at the lights).

Anyhow if it was ya hi ;)

Oh yeah got GPS (iPaq) as well ;)

Think Bruntinthorpe would be best for me - the others are much further away

The above price includes Marshals' date=' briefing and paramedic cover just waiting for confirmation.

Look! I've just got over the fact I made a crap choice in tyres, and now they're throwing those tyres into the price of a track day!

I'd be up for Brunters too as I can stay at the grands, who live about 6 miles from Brunters. Wahoo!

is there a prize for highest speed.

i can borrow a radar gun no prob.......

I'll give my old boss a bell, i think he still has the Diablo ;)

not sure if it would beat me within the confines of the straight.. they are a big old bus them diablos...

but he is welcome to try... if i can cure this damn misfire..

Somehow, i don't think he'd pass the noise meters :D

count me out.. am at 125db. so wont be attending.

unless we go cadwell/ kncokhill / anglesey / etc with no limit.

You personally, or the Car ? :D

Better lay off the baked beans ;)

Has a date been decided for this yet?

Defo would like to come to this but need to find out the due date of baby before I can confirm.

Don't want to be hacking around a track and then get a call saying babys on the way. Serious arm gouging would be in the offing I reckon.

Paul,

I gather Europcar (my former "sponsors" ;) ) do a rather nice line in Rover 75s

He means the "BMC" 75 is good where 180 hairpins and copius handbrake applications... then its nice - to watch anyway

So, are we any closer to deciding a location yet??

I would still highly recommend anglesey!!

Si,

Couple of reasons why not:

1. The number of novices

2. The number of people worried about damaging their cars

3. The cost (we are but humble Skoda owners)

That'll do for now. :D

That's a good question for the others; would the man from Cadburys Motorsport be allowed to come? :D

Surely all Briskodians are welcome? :)

I've just bought my new brakes (Thanks Disco ;) ) so bring on the trackday! I'll get some practice in at Elvington in January, get myself Jabba'd in February and then be ready :D

I vote Bruntingthorpe by the way !

Steve
