I'll be up for it des, could be a laugh

Hmmm, RS or Favorit? RS or Favorit? actually as I'll be towing with the RS, I might try both :D

will the Favorit be as quick as a Fabia vRS? or can we call them vD's for short?

Nah, vD's is wrong. They are Sporty ;)Turbo Diesels

:D

not the car for you then Jon you have had far to many STD's already?

Put me down too as a Briskoda and track newcomer.....

What about my tyres though, do track days totally rag 'em?

Lee

Tyre ragging is something to worry about a few days after the track day when you suddenly realise how much they've detiorated. :D "Hmmm, I'm sure my tyres had shoulders a week ago...?"

I'm getting a new pair on the front this saturday, so by the time this track day happens (and it sounds like there is a shedload of interest - good on y'all) I think they'll be nicely scrubbed. Just need the weather to be dry else I'll be spinning bloody everywhere! wheeeeeeeeee!

Lee, depends on the track.

Some are pretty abrassive, others are pretty good. Its a combination of the surface and the types of corner involved. Usually the slower bends do the most damage for some reason (probably due to the angles involved).

Oh and your level of commitment is also a major factor.

Sorry to be so no commital, but there are a lot of variables.

Something southern/central for my vote - Goodwood, Snetterton, Brands Hatch! I'm a car track-day virgin, have done a couple on bikes before.

It'll seem weird to be able to sit in the warm, with some gentle music playing, ragging the nuts off of my freshly-Jabba'd vRS. As opposed to freezing cold, knee-down, deafening wind-noise, may slide off at any corner - oh how I miss my bike - NOT!

Good to see you've got your baby back Jon, Running in must be a real pain!

Looking forward to Spring,

Andy

I would also be interested, depending on date and other arranged commitments.

Location no problem.

Cheers

Phil.

Put me down for a place. If I put the meter on and take passengers I'll be in profit! Guess I'll have to use the BM though ( with indicators tapped over, so you'll have to guess which way I'm going to pass!) as an SDi would be a mobile chicane! Central location favourite.

Big_K and his van?

I reckon we'll have to turn it into something like this first' date=' ot make it track worthy. :D

Whadda you reckon?

:rofl::rofl: well if i get my rear end into gear i could possibly have a rear engined skud to scare a few of the vrs owners with :D

Pull your finger out then !!

Would be nice to see a Pre VAG Skoda at a meet sometime. Nice centrepiece for a group photo methinks ;)

Sorry if i've been a bit quiet i've been doing some research on the cost of hiring various tracks up and down the country. Costs vary wildly, so to gauge how much members are willing to shell out could all those who expressed an interest please vote in the new poll.

Cheers Des

I've gone for the middle ground (

I wouldn't go much into the

Same for me.. Ive gone for middle grounds

I've gone for

I too have gone for the 110-130 bracket. If pushed I may be able to stretch it a bit further though! :D

count me in if it's within a reasonable distance of Essex and someone is willing to have me as a passenger !

JC

Jane, you are more than welcome in my little 1.4 :D

And if you're good, I'll let you drive it for a couple of laps :D

okey doke - thank you.

Now - here are the rules ....

No swearing

No speeding

No overtaking

No undertaking

No taking the pi55 out of Jason (sorry J , just kidding)

No making smoke come out of the tyres

Only joking - I will be relying on you to do all of the above ! :D

I'm sure none of the above would be a problem for the ringmeister! :D

You run the new lump in yet Jon?
