Hi I am currently looking at a new car for my mum. 

 

I've got the 1.4 BXW Fabia 2008 and she likes that car.

 

I've been looking for one but at the moment I can only seem to find the 1.2 model (it will be a 2008 to 2010 model with the budget) 

 

I've heard it's quite common on the 1.2 to have an issue with the pistons burning out.

 

Does anyone know if this is true or if they have had Anny issues with this engine.

Not pistons, exhaust valves, on the HTP engines. The 6-valve engines seem more vulnerable,

Hold out for a 1.4 like yours.

Thanks for clearing that up, that will explain why there's so many 1.2's available.

 

Yeah I think I'll hang on untill a 1.4 turns up.
