Delivery times?

Been driving it already, I admit it was worth the waiting. The car is very good, engine (1.5TSI manual) is lively, you can drive it like an auto on 3rd :D Build quality - excellent. But something at the back is rattling (car` got like 35km by now). I think it might be some snow scraper that was added to it and is in one of the plastic pockets in the trunk but will see. Anyways, great car, value is incredible on this one.

Maybe worth checking this thread:

I thought they fixed this issue for new cars though.

1150 2.0 tsi since March?

Just got a message from the dealer that my 1.5 mHEV Octavia went into production. The bad news is that there is shortage of mHEV batteries, and the car is expected to be delivered not earlier than Oct22...

Had my hopes up reading recent updates here that I might have some positive news having reached my "Build Week" and my Combi might sneak through.

Not to be though with latest excuse being put down to rolling lockdowns in China affecting various parts supply. No MHEV engines produced in the last 6 weeks apparently but who knows what to believe any more.

Looks like 2023 for me now which will put me in to the prestigious 1 year+ wait club.

Not sure how much longer I can tolerate the VW Golf/Roof Box rig I'm rocking at the moment but left with no other viable option really!

I'm basically using this thread as a diary at this stage 😅.

Latest info provided to me is production of MHEVs is to resume Wk 37 and expected to produce 1 Nr per week for Ireland.

I'm told numbers awaited are limited enough here so hoping mine will be close enough to that which would mean possible delivery mid October.

Although I was also told that the drought situation on the continent could have further impact on delivery of parts, etc.

If you were to write a script on this whole saga, you couldn't come close with some of what has been given as excuses to date!

At least it looks like our information is matching up for what it's worth!

Has anyone had a build date for a IV model in UK recently or had one delivered that hasn't been sitting in a car park for months?

Almost at a year waiting now and estimated date on mine is 15th Dec which seems a generic date as someone I know ordered Enyak week before I did and they have same date.

Would just like to know if they are building the IVs again as all you lucky people with cars seem to have TDIs or none hybrid

Hi

No idea if mine has been sitting in a car park waiting for bits or not but my Dealer claimed car was built on 1st July and shipped to the export port on the 2nd. After some confusion a month ago when it was supposed to be collected I have just been informed that it has arrived at the dealer yesterday (15th August) and I will fingers crossed be collecting it on Saturday 20th. Its a VRS iv estate

Hope that helps

Kevin

Good info on MHEV versions.. At least they will be producing *some*, though I wonder what the backlog is. In our 'sample size' around a quarter of people ordered MHEVS.

This month was my original estimated delivery month. 22/08/22. Dealer called today. No build date as yet. He did report they have seen some cars being delivered and some models arriving faster than others. I hope all those waiting, receive their vehicles soon.

I see you ordered yours in February 2022, mine was ordered July 2021 and am collecting this Saturday 20th.

I did a secret shop on the dealer as well and they quoted 49 weeks delivery time so can't believe they quoted you August delivery but it may depend on the model, this is the longest I have ever waited for a car.

Hopefully it will be worth it.

Good luck with yours.

Hey, is anyone here who has VIN number already and waiting that dealer/factory gives next information?

I have received information that in August factory will finish all unfinished Octavias, but it dora not look good so far.

Does anyone have any other news about this cars whic are unfinished and waiting for parts?

I know that at least 4 Octavia's were delivered to my dealer this month.

I got VIN, car parked since April. Tried to fish some info from dealer today, no reply yet. But I think the plan was to have the unfinished ready by the end of September, not August. Someone also mentioned that the parking places are almost empty, but I find it hard to believe.

I'm also on the list of clients with VIN, but no other info. I received the VIN more than a month ago, and next week I'll celebrate 1 year since I placed the order. On the other hand, mine is not partially produced and waiting for parts, it's waiting complete production apparently.

@AjdolinWas it the Skoda CEO or someone on the board of Skoda / VW that said the plan was to have the unfinished cars ready by the end of September, or word on the grape vine?

Who was it that mentioned the parking spaces were empty and was that the CEO or someone from the Skoda Factory?

Both infos come from this forum from other users. About the parking spaces - about the same time as someone posted this info here (a few pages ago) someone also wrote the same on the Czech Škoda forum.
I memorized the end of September as I also fall in the category of the unfinished cars. I also remember being quite sceptical as it came out with upcoming summer closures (so this was quite a few more pages ago).

I know you wont understand to this, but this is part of the official Škoda´s document, which was sent to all dealers in czech rep in 23th May. It says:

- from now on there will be a lack of door-panels in maximum of single pieces per week

-  finishing incompleted cars (without door-panels - these are cars that have a VIN and have not yet reached the customer, because they are parked for several months on different parking areas - gonna send you a few pics) is planned from KW 22/2022 and all incompleted cars will be delivered to the customers by end of the September.

- Door-panels marked as V1, V2 and V3 version are now avaiable, V4 (i found out, that V4 are door-panels for vRS) will be avaiable from KW 25/2022 - reality is, that small amount of door-pannels for vRS was made before this date.

I was quoted 24 weeks to deliver an SEL PHEV. A month later the dealer advised that cars being ordered then were now 48 weeks. The following month delivery if ordered then 52 weeks. I get a monthly update. Basically nothing new. No build date. No new estimated delivery date. The spreadsheet gives reliable information on whats happening. Without it I'd be reliant on my dealer for what is happening.

Guys with VIN, try to add it to myskoda app. Once it accepts it, its ready to ship.

Gave me a headsup before dealer knew anything.

Been trying for 2 months, service still unavailable 😞

Anything said in May 2022 by Skoda is so almost a quarter back and much water under the bridge since then. Even cars completed and exported.  But production is still very much messed up.

Well not much new since, apart from their bragging about profit with less cars sold 🙄

That is the same across the industry.

Hi guys,

I wait for my company car for almost a year. It is 2.0 TDI DSG Style with few extra equipment packages.

I got VIN end of May and all the time service was unavailable. Since few days ago I can see blurry picture of some car that is not mine and mistake message.

Do you know what does it mean?

I wish luck and patience to all of you who still wait.
