Hey! Unfortunately, I haven't found any reliable links or files on my own either. To avoid any risk of bricking the unit, I've decided to hand it over to a professional 'pro' who specializes in these updates, whom I found through a local Facebook forum here in Slovakia. It's safer than DIY-ing it with questionable files.

How I get 1969 software

  • Hi guys, I have an Amundsen/Bolero HW56 currently stuck on version 1668. Could someone kindly share a Google Drive/Mega link for a bridge update (like R1810L or R1896L) so I can finally jump to 1941? Thanks!

The links in this thread are for Columbus software I believe, not sure if Bolero updates have been posted, or even if they carry the same 4 digit reference as the Columbus updates (such as 1941)

I have columbus

Has anyone encountered a problem where the radio freezes at the loading metainfo screen and nothing else happens? Is there no way to proceed any further? How can I resolve this issue?

Hello,

I have Skoda Octavia 2021y.

And there was done update using following archive "MOI3_RECOV_R9900L_5FA919360AS".
The logic why it was applied is very stupid, I don't know why it was done, looks like he was very boring.

It was applied to 5E3035820E, 1803. So unit now have black screen and constantly rebooting.

Is it possible to recover it using FW 1941?

Hi everyone,

If anyone’s wondering whether it worked - yes, it did!

Here's what I did:

- Updated main software from 1804 to 1941 -> MOI3_EU_SK_R9410L

- Updated main software from 1941 to 1985 -> MOI3_EU_SK_R9850L

- Updated radio software from 1.31.48 (version after the 1985 update) to 1.31.58 -> MQB3_LGe_Europe_v1.31.58

- Everything else will update automatically when you're done -> just give it some time

My original system information:

Device part number: 5E3035816F

Hardware: H56

Software: 1804 (now: 1985)

ABT hardware: H47

ABT software: 2092

Navigation database: 20.7 (now: 25.8 -> will update automatically from now on)

Media codec: 3.1.4

Radio database: 1.30.24 (now: 1.31.58)

You can find the main software on mibsolution.

For the radio software, it’s better to check phonostar and enter your VW part number, not the Skoda one, as it won’t return results otherwise (Skoda part number: 5E3035816F -> VW part number: 3G5035820D). I found the VW part number by searching through various forums.

So far the system seems to boot faster, works more smoothly, and feels generally more stable (e.g., no sound issues with Android Auto).

Hello,

I am quoting this post as it is a similar situation for me.

I own a SKODA Octavia Combi iV (build in March 2021) with following specs:

  • part number: 5E3035816D

  • hardware: H56

  • software: 1803

  • ABT hardware: H45

  • ABT software: 2092

  • navigation database: 24.2

  • media-codec: 3.1.4

Now I did the update to 1941 as explained in several threads. The system seems to work very smooth, no issues at all, everything seems to be fine.

This is the current setting now:

  • part number: 5E3035816D

  • hardware: H56

  • software: 1941

  • ABT hardware: H45

  • ABT software: 2092

  • navigation database: 24.2

  • media-codec: 3.1.4

Now I am wondering if it makes sense to update again to 1969 or maybe directly to 1989 ? What is your experience for these 'old' cars build in march 2021 and updates to 1969 or 1989 ?

Thanks in advance,

Andy

Octavia Mk4 Estate 1.5TSI Manual – SE L First Edition

Manufacture Date: 2020

Infotainment Hardware: H56

Display Unit/Control Panel Hardware: H44

Display Unit/Control Panel Software: 2088

I formatted the USB stick to exFAT copied the files to the root, when I did the update, I had the engine running, the bonnet and the windows open and the AC turned off.

I started with 1896 and moved to 1941, this took about 25 minutes following the on-screen process listed in the original post.

This went smoothly with no issues, the main thing I noticed was how fast the screen was after the update.

The dealer put my car up to 1985 when it went in for a service in February. It was absolutely fine, and my only negative experience with it was that there seemed to be far fewer radio station logos.

Last week the car went in for an OCU update, and they also updated the infotainment to 1989. So far it all seems fine, and there seems to be a lot more radio station logos available now.

I know looking at the threads on this forum that some people who've updated to 1989 have benefited from doing a factory reset of the infotainment after the update completes. When I picked the car up from the dealer I did have to login again, set myself as primary user, etc. So I suspect they did a factory reset (but I know the OCU update was also forcing people to sign in again).

Here is a link to where I go the last update from.
