Another attempt with another pair of used parts.

This time with "Product origin assurances for the purchase"

Used Radars No2.jpg

This time is going to be the last time, no matter the result.

No, I didn't try it at all, I put it back under the radar. I gave up on the project. Thanks for the advice and help.

Why

If these features cannot be purchased through the Skoda infotainment store, then any additional hardware integration must be done exclusively through the factory by enabling the equipment in the Gateway 19 module. Nothing will function until an activation code is entered into the Gateway 19 block. You can only 'bypass' or trick the system for functions that are officially available in the store. The same applies to traffic sign recognition and other safety features. The only alternative is extensive software modification and reinstallation; however, this will result in losing all factory updates and blocking dealer access via official factory diagnostics.

What are you talking about? The Skoda Store has absolutely nothing to do with retrofitting Side Assist.

However, this auxiliary system is not active in the Gateway 19 module and will remain inactive until it is activated by the factory. The factory told me to contact the dealer to enter the activation code, but the dealer refused, leaving the task unfinished. They do not want to take responsibility for the modification. Ultimately, it is a waste of money and time, resulting in the feature not actually working.

Please don't talk nonsense, the Side Assistant is not a FoD/SwaP or FeC product. Only the master from the 3C is activated in the gateway.

Why

I'm tired of dealing with this issue anymore. I'll have the car for a little over a year, so I don't want to deal with it any longer.

You're (fortunately) incorrect. It is NOT a protected/licensed feature

Silly question: did You check where the radar/harness were passing through? My first mechanic inverted harness and that's why Blind spot didn't work; after making swap from the othher mechanic it works super fine!

In this case the radars wouldn’t communicate with the car at all

They did but for few seconds, just the time to see they were powered
