Blind spot assist retrofit

Featured Replies

I retrofitted in my O4 from 04 2024 with index G. Luckily I read that H generating problems before ordering. It is working perfectly in my car, don't need any additional tools for calibration with index G. It is self calibration during driving :)

Besides the initial question about the G-index, I would like to clarify something else:

Is there a problem if the radars are used?

I believe NOT as the only thing You have to do is, imho, flash the firmware with the one proper of Your car if You wanna have the right distances and so on

The firmware is completely irrelevant. The data set is what matters.

I am ready to buy used radars with INDEX G.

That's why i ask about it. I want to push the BUY botton right now.

So i CAN use used radars.

Steps:

Connect them in car.

Remove CP (with online connection and ODIS)

Load dataset (there in no need for online connection)

Do the long coding or anythink else needed. (no need for online connection)

I am right ?

Does anyone know what the objects correspond to? I have already identified that number 3 is the car following us in the same lane.Screenshot_2025-10-24-18-42-06-467_com.voltasit.obdeleven.jpg

The Sensor can detection max 6 Objects

I see 1, 3, 4 and 5 moved but not 2 and 6.

3 is for the car follow me, 1 is for left first lane and 5 right lane

That is correct. Remember to do a ride, it will not work just after coding. It need to be calibrated during drive.

I don't have reset parameter or adaptation, so the calibration continue with me.

Today, I have made at least 200km and no problem during the drive.

It's possible to set the luminosity of the light ?

As long as they're not stolen, you're ok

I return to my own attempt.

As I said, my car was manufactured on 25.5.2023.

Until now, I have tried several times to remove the component protection lock, but immediately afterwards it reappeared. The radars I have at my disposal are index H.

From the ETKA I see that my model normally uses radars with index G. A member of the forum told me that this is the problem.

And while I had despaired and had given up on it as a project, now I am reconsidering it.

What is your opinion?

Install the correct radars and get the job finished

Yes

Yes

Because I don't find any mean to set this

On my father's Karoq, there is slider into infotainment system to adjust the luminosity but on the Kamiq, only the on/off button

Only Coding

I don't see any options in long coding, maybe this line but I can't change it : the other options is via LIN instead via PWMIMG_20251025_162418.jpg

100% wrong

You want to Change something Over HMI

What is HMI ?

Realy?

H(umen)

M(aschin)

I(nterface)

Ok, it's the multimedia interface.

So this line refer to the mean for the system to communicate the power to the light. PWM or LIN

Assuming you’ve correctly configured the infotainment system, you’ll have a menu entry to allow you increase/reduce the blind spot warning light intensity

If you haven’t, you wont

It was configured well but on the other hand, I updated the dataset coming from a T-Roc ( V03935363XP ) on the advice of cairus and there, the menu appeared 😁

Perhaps the original dataset ( V03935352AH ) did not allow this configuration.

Ok. Thank you all for your answers.

I ordered used radars with index G as you told me.

My retrofit project has officially restarted.
