Superb Mk3 Mudflaps/Sprayflaps

Featured Replies

Morning all

I'm not sure if this has been asked before but have any members succesfuly fitted so called vehicle specific aftermarket mudflaps to a Superb Mk3 hatchback/estate. I went to buy a set of front and rear genuine Skoda mudguards/flaps and nearly died at the price from the dealer even on E-Bay and amazon adverts that appeared to be genuine were a pretty horrendous price . There seems to be several types and sizes both rigid ABS and rubber claiming to be vehicle specific on E-bay and Amazon but when comparing the pictures to those of genuine Skoda they look nothing like them or look like cheap tat. I'm not being tight but my L&K came with a set factory fitted and now two have come detached and been lost and the car looks naff !! Based on personal experience does anyone have any links to what they consider to be good quality preferably the rigid ones similar to OEM. TIA

trucker, the original ones in places like kopacek are like 25 euro ... i think it will be difficult to find a reasonable alternative for less than 10 euro ... in my mind, is not worth the difference, I would buy the original ones.

Also got mines from Kopacek.

Still in place 7 years later. They really do a good job. It doesn't prevent the car from being dirty behind front or rear wheels. But at least it stops mud projections or stone chips. Only thin dust can then stick to the "side skirt" or the rear bumper.

AFAIK @JR RS 👋 has non OEM ones, which are a bit shorter compared to OEM. But I can't remember where he got them 🤔.

I have the genuine ones now, sourced from Kopacek.

Initially I had AliExpress versions, but they were shorter and not as wide, hence not coverage compared to the genuine ones.

Kopacek have the genuine ones for an amazing price, which u won't find anywhere else - get those.

Maybe not relevant to this discussion, but the oly drawback to the original ones is that the hard plastic prevents sometimes parking on very uneven surfaces, due to the relative little height of the car. This is not something affecting most of the people anyway....

But obviously if you insist, or not pay attention, will rip one of more of them away.

Last year I had front and back genuine OEM mudflaps supplied and fitted by my local Skoda dealer for £100, which TBH I thought was reasonable. They have been very good and kept the car a lot cleaner throughout this winter. Would certainly have them fitted on my next car
