I wouldn't worry too much about the latest firmware. It will update to 410 directly from what you have without going through any intermediate stage. Use an SD card or USB in exfat with only the files on it un zipped with 7 zip. The attached PDF shows how they should be presented. 40 minutes or so should do it not that I do it that way.

All issue are generally presentation issues in how the unit expects to see the files. Assuming you didn't use a Mac else you use cleanmydrive. The built in filemanagers to unzip the zip file can lead to issues. You can't peak a look at the unzipped files and re save them. So it has to be unzipped files presented to the system as the metafile and the two subdirectories mib1 and mib2. Start it off and you'll be fine. 40 minutes with constant power should do it or a bit longer if not interrupted.

  • Installed and working perfectly on my Audi A4 B9. I downloaded and unzipped on my phone and copied to usb, no issues Thanks

  • Unzipping with fresh 7zip and using a proper usb drive instead of an external SSD worked like a charm! Now on to firmware updates

  • Confirming that it works on Porsche PCM4.0 as expected.

Feels more like the tool you formatted it with and media. Fat goes to 32gb and exfat is used above but then there are specialist versions of Fat that were / are supported prior to exfat coming put. Utility programs that use non standard cluster size to make it fit. Highly unlikely a mib device would take too kindly to those formats produced by these utilities.

True if it's 32gb or less SD media the natural format would be Fat. Above that you switch to exfat.

https://www.transcend-info.com/Support/FAQ-748

People bought the 64gb cards when the combined release of mib1/mib2 high would not fit on some 32gb cards. Exfat comes in on those although some people opt for ntfs but that isn't designed for solid state memory access. Only a mib2 release now so fits on 32gb card without issues.

Rule of thumb is <= 32gb FAT, >32gb exFat. Use Windows to do the format not a utility program.

Hello,

It's the first I download the Columbus Update, before I was using another MAP files provided but someone else , but I've lost contact with him.

When I compare my SD card folder with Columbus archive content, it's not the same structure.

So I'm confused it will work ?

Thank you for your help

Thats an Audi unit based on

https://mib-helper.com/index.php?train=MHS2_ER_AU_P0448#details

A MIB2 High Scale whatever that is.

Wiki:

https://wiki-online.vcds.de/de/Plattformen/MIB

Not a mib2 high as we know it.

Not come across those before.... does it look like this:

https://www.audi-mib.bg/audi-delphi-mhs2-scale-map-activation-2021/

Reckon you need an Audi forum / trawl Russian websites for knock offs... Audi map were sold with mapcare so were never free. FeC can be adjusted so maps for Skoda and VW etc can be used but whether they were fitted to those cars... least not. So a nitch unit. You might find they have fallen off the back of an annual generation or may be not. If not ebay may be a source for a map card.

Your best bet is an Audi forum. Your unit / file still needs to be patched hence the need for an Audi forum where people are familiar with the process... Your man that you have lost.

@mrfix

can you share some direct links to Porsche's offline files?

Audi publicize earlier than others, but i don't have links

VW have closed offline files download section in their portal :(

When I looked last year with the Audi ones, since I was intrigued about them, they sat behind a pay wall. If you had coughed up for Audi mapcare you got past the pay wall, if you didn't, you couldn't. Expect Porsche ones may be like that, hence why Audi and now Porsche come looking on Briskoda.

If that's the Audi version that got leaked by Russian boards and mibsolution.one last year it was just manufactured differently. The UK was identical apart from how it was put together with the meta check sum and signature. I gave up checking every country and concluded the early release via Audi was identical. Ofcource it might not have been a release but a beta test file put out. Other year's I caught site of the file being discussed on the German Skoda Commumity board. Only last year did I lay my hands on it. MartiniB will tell me whether I've got my years wrong. It's on the board where I said, no difference based on my check.

So as I've said Audi files are behind a pay wall on their server.

just wondering, that could be ex VW case,

when you need login to browse models, but download links as self are accessible,

when you know exact path (or can guess it)

Yes. You need someone with Audi mapcare to then cut and paste the link out just to see whether it's protected. May be a cookie or it would be accessible only via the login. So that was as far as my checking was concerned... I needed a subscription to dig deeper.

Hello all,

I mailed @MartinB about this issue of corrupt downloads of the latest Columbus 2025/2026 maps (i.e. had he had any joy in using the files from the CDN from Škoda). I tried downloading multiple times, but each time the file showed me as corrupt on both the unzip tools in Linux and also in Windows. No joy. Turns out that those standard unzip tools only looked at the header files and determined that the header information was corrupt and then stopped working.

Using my Linux (7z x) 7z decompression tool, I determined that the zip file itself was fine; it was just the header file information was corrupt. I managed to decompress the compressed file and move it onto an SD card and then update the maps as per usual.

Yes Ive been saying update 7zip to people. Unzipping fine for me but that was in the built Windows 11 file manager unzip. On the mib3 ones where there had been a moan or two on the SeatCupra board but I'd had no issue looking at them. It was found that they loaded up fine even with the issue. Normally you dont touch them if they unzip with errors. Going to be Skoda tools they use to zip them. Recommendation update your 7zip or try with the inbuilt file explorer Microsoft tool in Windows 11. Might be in 10. They had updated that tool to work with more diverse files.

We are at 410. See top post. That's old stuff. Pass on the question. If you can't upload it to the car, you know about Audi navigation FeCs ?. You need life long FeCs on Audi and Seat cars if it a compatible map. Audi posters here have their navigation FeCs adjusted. Audi boards for that.

:-( I did try standard Windows 11 decompression tools, it didn't work for me, but as I am a Linux sysadmin, I went back to Linux to look and see what was wrong with the file. Personally, I think they should be using a SHA1 hash to check the file integrity and publishing the sha1 hash so people can check for themselves.

I keep on the monthly Window 11 updates and the pre releases so didn't moan for me. May be more forgiving than 7zip. I'd done the test looking for 25.06 which I'd found without issue. In the past thou on genuine 7zip files, Windows built in had messed up the mib3 by not seeing a file... that one with the date in. Think Microsoft have that corrected now.

Bonjour.

J'ai réussi a télécharger la mise à jour après avoir installer une application pour télécharger .

It downloaded fine in Blighty. 900Mbs connection. Firefox and Turbo Manager 3.0. People swear by these comms managers. Turbo Managers on iffy connections. Something I installed months ago and just leave it there. I did have a very iffy connection some years ago via radio rural broadband. Now full fibre to the premises. These download managers help with Mega files as well.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/turbo-download-manager/

I see there is one for Chrome. Chrome or whatever, Edge might have a built in one. I dont have a wobbly connection these days. Anyhow that's what they advice when the connection is problematic.

The download repeatedly fails with the message "connection lost" when I try to "resume", the download restarts from 0 again.

Is anyone else having this trouble?

I've answered a post here about the November 2026 mib2 high release with some pointers. No sign of it yet. I know we have found the pre release for Audi before. It's these Audi files that we might be using if the well has dried up. Pre just means its run off by Audi not that its really pre I reckon. The signatures were just assembled differently in the file but same material for the UK. The one I checked in the past. 430 would be the next one. A Russian site and a British subscription map site had the links previously to these compatible Audi files. So yes. I trust we are keeping our eyes open for these on Vag servers and elsewhere.

Not released on the russian site yet

Yes I was hoping to reach out to you since you had the site last time. Suspect we might be using that file if it's released. Fingers crossed 🤞.
