How to find the correct gas struts.

Featured Replies

Hello

I want to replace my boot struts with gas ones but I'm not sure on what newton, size/length and fitting type I need i have looked at my currant struts but can find any of the info that I need on them.

I have found these ones on ebay (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/336485535023?chn=ps&_ul=GB&var=545960847825&norover=1&mkscid=101&itemid=545960843059_336485535023&targetid=2276391439863&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9208548&poi=&campaignid=23686542199&mkgroupid=197659122947&rlsatarget=pla-2276391439863&abcId=10650830&merchantid=5682036567&geoid=9208548) from what ive read them seem pretty good quality.

Thanks.

IIRC the existing struts will have all the info on them and you can measure them and see the type of fittings they have, also a good supplier will know which struts you require, there area few companies that specialise in these, I've not bought any so can't recommend any company.

To save screen space with eBay items you can pos a short link by ending the link immediately after the itm (item) number as follows. - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/336485535023
